This review is for the Slots/casino (not the race track). I cant believe they missed the mark on making a sports book. WHAT A JOKE! seriously? The Sport book consists of a room with some tv's and a security guard outside the door, who glares at you when you walk in. Its NOT inviting at all! No bar, no access to the other parts of the casino or race betting etc, other than a door that separates the room from the rest of the facility. No one wants to watch sports in a closet! What on earth were they thinking? I hate to give the whole casino one star, but this ridiculous attempt at something that could have been a major game changer for this casino turns out to be a complete failure. That......and the continued nonsense allowing people to reserve and keep machines that are NOT being played by turning a chair around! What? Hey security.....you are making your casino lose money by allowing this unwritten rule of turning chairs around to hold/reserve slot machines. It's tacky and not fair to other customers who want to play. And the casino promotes this behavior of the "holders" escalating confrontation if someone accidentally puts money into a slot machine only to be met by some irate old lady throwing a fit because you went to machine that had no one playing and no credit or players card in the machine. Wake up! You guys are losing TONS of money because of laziness and...
Read moreThis a prospective from a local New Orleananan. I come to this establishment at lease. 2 or 3 times a months and I have been gambling at this establishment for several year. First, I think management (floor) could be a more friendly than they are. This gentlemen whom I believe is floor management, who I alway see has his arms folded as if he watching to see how customer are behaving. I have encounter him in passing and he has never smiled or even a slight greet. He manner is very intimidating. I am sure if I am suppose to be here to enjoyed my evening or look over my shoulder. He can use a class in customer service. I believe this attitude has transcend to all the other employee. The cash cage is not friendly. I was there last night, said hello to the cashier, she never responded, in a rude voice, told me to sign my name for ID purpose without an explanation. Your maintenance crew for what I can see do their job. They are polite when removing use drink cups or bottles. I come here to relax and do a little gambling. I don't want to feel like I am doing something wrong. These personalities should be corrected. This is just a place to gamble, no more no less. I want to feel relaxed in this place, not like I AM DOING SOMETHING WRONG. WOULD APPRECIATE A WARM WELCOME. And I am sure I speak for a lot more people. Thank You check your customer service in the Casino. I am a Guest,...
Read moreOur second year enjoying Jazz Fest with the VIP Krewe of Jazz Fest passes and VIP Bus Passes. Can’t recommend this combo strongly enough. Well-appointed, air conditioned buses whisk you from the Loews Hotel on lower Poydras Street to the Fairgrounds, through the gates, past the throng of thousands of pedestrians to a small, private entry point for ticket-taking and security checkpoint, then at the end of the day provide snacks and cold bottled water as they whisk you back home. The covered, elevated grandstand is close enough to the stage for good viewing and sound, and sitting in shade protected from sun and rain sure beats standing or sitting with 40,000 of your closest friends (and I mean really close) on the Fairgrounds. Padded, individual chairs are nice but recommend bringing a stadium seat cushion if you’ll be seated for hours enjoying four concerts of the best talent on the Festival Stage. Private bar with short lines and friendly wait staff was much appreciated for wine and cocktails throughout the afternoons. Private, air-conditioned bathrooms were much appreciated rather than the row of a hundred port-a-potties available to the general...
