Red Star Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in New Orleans

I am tired of these so so Chinese restaurants in New Orleans that serve slop and charge a ridiculous amount for it. I ordered Orange chicken with white meat. They chopped up the god awful toughest chicken from the lemon chicken and cooked it again. I could not bite through it. That means the regular dark chicken they use for orange chicken is bought frozen and already prepared or they would have prepared it the same way as the dark meat chicken other restaurants do. Every time I order a few things from here one of the expensive items is disgusting crap. Like the beef and broccoli that looked good and tasted like water. If we stop going they will stop ripping people off. Btw the orange chicken was a bottled sauce that I can make better at home. So far I think the egg rolls are the only thing I would get here so, I'm done, no more to go from Red star. Sorry. I have never had a more negative experience ordering food for delivery than I had with this establishment. Not only did it take over an hour for the food to get here, but when it did finally arrive there was an entire 3 orders of food missing from our total order. When I called to address the problem, the woman who I spoke with (who turned out to be the manager) completely disregarded everything that I had to say. She argued with me saying "the food is there because I'm the one who packed the bag" when it was clearly not there. After 15 minutes of arguing with her rude attitude (I remained calm the entire time), she FINALLY recognized that she had made a mistake and said the food would be right there. We waited for another hour and a half before the rest of our food made it to us. The food was mediocre and the entire ordeal was unnecessary, unprofessional, and ridiculous. I do NOT recommend ever ordering from this place, I can guarantee it will be nothing...

I was extremely pleased with my excellent dining experience at Red Star. Everything from the perfect quality of the food to the amazing service was the best I've seen in New Orleans. The food was the best Chinese food I've ever had in my life. It was flavorful, tasty, and very well prepared. The service also shined. The employees were helpful, polite, and professional, and the food was ready extremely quickly. I had a great time eating with my friends at this amazing resteraunt. There's not one thing I'd change about my experience, since the outstanding food was prepared quickly by the great work staff. I would definitely recommend eating here. Five stars...
