I ordered online through the door dash free self pick up online portal that’s offered. I received three text and two emails confirming my order and alerting me it was ready for pick up. When I arrived they took my order by word and said it would be a few moments which inevitably turned into about a half hour wait. They didn’t have record of my order so I showed them my emails, text, and online banking statement where they withdrew the money and he said I ordered from a Tlaquepaque in California, so dumbfounded I had to reply with why would I order from a restaurant in California when I live here in Ohio than proceeded to show the address attached to all my proofs of order. He had to contact his boss and eventually wrote my order out and I had to continue to wait till the order was finally made. Now onto the food portion I got the steak fajita meal which the meat to vegetable (never ending green pepper) ratio was way off, and they could have put it in a small bowl not the dinner size because it didn’t fill the dinner bowl. Now the portions may have been off due to the assumption early that I placed my order in California and was wrongfully being served there. But they had mentioned this was the second time that night that they had an online order that didn’t make it to the kitchen but I guess my 23 dollar order was a make or break that night not sure about the resilience with all my proof of purchase. Anyway back to the food the refried beans which are my absolute favorite when it comes to Mexican style food we’re sadly watered down and flavorless, the salsa lacked cilantro and the chips were brittle and broke just upon dipping into the flavor lacking salsa. My cheese dip with beef which I was most excited about because it’s cheese who wouldn’t! Sadly fell short as well unlike el camps the cheese sauce was very thin like water almost and had a heavy layer of burger grease on top, the meat was in big hunks rather than ground like I assumed it would be from past Mexican take out orders. Everyone’s experiences and taste buds are different this...
Read moreI'm of Hispanic descent and I can honestly say this place is not somewhere you should go. I would recommend driving 20mins away to Campensinos Grill in Strasburg.
Let's start off with: I've been coming here since this place opened up. Now it wasnt all the great when it opened up but over time it got better. They recently remodeled their exterior and as soon as that started, I definitely saw smaller portions and worse quality ingredients. You can definitely taste the difference.
My father and I were waiting for our food at the Bar and we weren't able to place an order for at least 7 minutes. He ordered a beer to drink while I went to the store real quick, they didnt offer him any complementary chips and salsa, when other people would get some for sitting at the bar. The waitress was really rude. Tried to explain that the chips and salsa weren't for people who ordered carry out, but regardless of if he ordered carry out or not, he ordered a beer as he waited. Normally you'd get something like chips and salsa with a purchase but this time no, not at all. Just because we were waiting for 30 to 45 mins for our food we couldn't get any chips and salsa...
My family usually orders their Fajitas with everything included and its usually a fair price, but wow... 47 dollars for three meals. You could definitely get a better value elsewhere.
Tonight sort of draws the line on when you just stop coming back to a restaurant. 1/10 wouldn't recommend this to any of my friends or family.
I'm normally a pretty chill and laid back person and I've worked in the food industry so I know how it goes. But this is unacceptable. The prices and the service were slow for how many people were running around. There weren't that many people there, I counted at least 6 to 8 tables being served and most of the customers were at the outside bar. Which is still around probably 10 people...
Read moreSince the remodel the food and service has went down hill. Everyone I talk to agrees there was a huge shift in quality when that took place. We used to frequent this place almost every weekend until I was served raw chicken and bacon in my fajitas. You know how a fajita plate steams and sizzles while they walk it to your table ? And you can smell the deliciousness as soon as they round the corner from the kitchen?… Yea mine didn’t do that and then to find my food was raw…instantly upset oh and I ordered soft corn taco shells and was brought flour tortillas TWICE by the same waiter. Anyhow; I asked for them to take my food back (I really was afraid to consume raw meat) and I was brought a burnt plate. Almost like they were mocking me and threw it back on the grill until it was charred. Last complaint: their frozen margaritas are not good! Who doesn’t have an authentic margarita with their “authentic” food!?! Only great thing about this place is the patio on a...
