6 Point Review... 1) Atmosphere/Dress: Casual attire for a surprisingly respectable level of dining. There were people wearing anything from slacks with collared shirts to shorts/t-shirts. There are several different areas to choose from for seating. The main dining area, the enclosed atrium and the outdoor patio. The enclosed atrium was slightly louder in volume than the main dining area but we didn't need to raise our voices while talking, so it was comfortable. 2) Specials: The first thing I noticed upon entering the door was a great sounding meal written in chalk. Gulf Shrimp, Clams and Mussels served in a creamy spinach sauce over fettuccine. I ordered this. They also featured a mango martini and a blackberry sangria. This was a Tuesday evening meal. 3) Appetizers: We had the mozzarella triangles with marinara sauce. However, there were other things that sounded really good such as calamari. Our appetizer even came with a small slice of watermelon as a garnish. It was ripened and sweet I found this to be a pleasant surprise. 4) House Salad/Garlic Bread: This was really a great salad! The house dressing was clearly made from scratch and it was some type of vinaigrette which was smooth and delicious... never had a dressing quite like it. Unlike Olive Garden which only gives you two pepperoncinis, I found at least for salad peppers in this. Also pepperoni and large cuts of salami as well as both green and black olives. You are given a choice of regular Italian bread or garlic bread. We opted for a mixture so we got two slices of each. The garlic bread was actually delicious with a nice texture. 5) Main Course: As mentioned in point #2, I had the Seafood Scatter which is Gulf Shrimp, Clams and Mussels served in a creamy spinach sauce over fettuccine. Wonderful dish! It even had a flower as a garnish. I enjoyed it so much I actually reached for my napkin and habitually expected it to be a "cloth" napkin. It just doesn't seem like this meal would be casual dining with paper napkins, haha. My wife ordered the chicken parmesan and she said it was the best she's ever had. She said the red sauce was not too sweet. She also noted the chicken with the melted cheese had perfect texture. 6) Dessert: I can't remember all the choices but I do recall key lime pie and some type of chocolate dessert. I chose the Turtle Dessert. It was a cheesecake with a chocolate drizzle over walnuts or pecans...it was two days ago and I can't remember what type of nuts. Also, what looks like a dollop of ice cream turned out to be a delicious whipped topping. Summary: I enjoyed every step of the meal from beginning to end. PRO TIP; If you're traveling thru and can't take leftovers, I recommend you skip the appetizer. The salad before the meal is quite filling and with the appetizer I was already getting full before my meal showed.

My meal was very well put together, garnishes were lovely it was visually appealing. I knew they were a higher end restaurant have not been here for several years. Wanted a filet mignon for my Birthday meal but couldn't get passed the cost of it at $32.00 so I settled for the blackened tuna at $16.99 (Not complaining of the cost I guess that's the rate now on Filet?? I just couldn't see paying that price, as much as I wanted one. I didn't want my dinner date to pay the price either. (just being caring on his wallet) I have had the filet and or the blackened tuna before here and both were fabulous. The dinner I had (Bknd Tuna on Dec 18 2020) really didn't have much taste except for the seasoning ... I don't blame the Chef or the waitress. I'm thinking the cooking process just did not acclimate well. I ended up FEEDING it the cats what I took home. I would still eat here. Just ended up being a bland Tuna steak.

Lori Burdette is the best waitress! I love this restaurant! Staff and food is amazing. My go to is the chicken parm. But you really can’t go wrong with anything- I’ve never had a bad meal. I personally don’t like seafood or fish- but will eat the fish here. I could live off their salads. Pricing is incredibly reasonable for the quality and atmosphere. I could go to any restaurant where I live in Columbus and none will ever compare to the staff & food at Uncle Primo’s- it’s always a great experience! This is one of the only restaurants I could actually just draw out of a hat of what to order & not be disappointed.

We recently ate here...we always had excellent service and good food plus way more than enough the last few years eating here. The staff was always friendly, service was great. However, I was very disappointed from the get go this time. We walked in as both women hostesses were on the phone. We waited patiently. One walked away after hanging up and the other was still on the phone, speaking rather rudely. She finally hung up and we told her 2 to dine and she ask if we had reservations, which we did not since we were just out riding on our Harley trike and stopped in at the spare of the moment. She then told us that it would be at least 8:00 until we could be seated and it was only about 5:30 then. The other hostess came back and heard the conversation and told us that there was two seats at the bar if we wanted those or we would have to wait till 8:00. We agreed to the bar. We were then told that we had to wait outside while the bar was being readied. There was absolutely nobody else in the lobby so why we had to go outside for a couple of minutes made no sense. However, we did go outside and after only a couple of minutes the rude hostess opened the door and said you can come in now but you must put your mask on properly. My husband had his on properly but because I had a headpiece on that covered my ears tightly due to riding on the motorcycle I couldn't fasten my mask over my ears so I was just holding it up to my mouth. I explained this to her but she insisted I had to do it properly. We were seated at the bar, at the very end with a plexiglass window on one side and a wall on the other. We felt like we were in a Petri lab medical dish!! This is at a time when most drugstores and grocery stores and department stores have stopped forcing people to wear the mask. Hmmm. The bartender was very nice and we got our food quickly but it was served al dente... Something neither of us care for. We didn't care for 1/2 cooked hard pasta. The sauce didn't taste the same and we were not asked if we wanted more salad or bread which has always been the case before. I understand about the pandemic but some places have become Nazis. My husband and I had eaten here for a few birthdays and anniversaries and taken friends of ours from out of town there but we are done..... To be treated so disrespectfully by a hostess and then to be served food that in our opinion wasn't cooked...

We asked Google for a great place to eat and this one came up with almost 5 stars so being from out of town we thought we would try it. Went to the restaurant, they were busy and we thought well it must be good good because they were so busy. We went in, the young lady at the check in was on the phone. She hung up the phone and never acknowledged us then when she did she looked at the 3 of us like we had 8 people with us and we asked how long the wait was? She snubbly said, do you have reservations and I said no and she rolled her eyes and I politely said I'm sorry but are we supposed to have them? We are from out of town and we found you on Google with high recommendations and thought we would check you out. She then said rudely yes it is preferred. I then said I'm sorry we didn't know and she then said we won't have anything open until 8:30 pm. I then said that well I guess that won't work as we were going to be driving 3 hours back home after dinner. Needless to say we didn't get to try this almost 5 star restaurant out. In my thinking if a restaurant wants you to have reservations then it it should be listed on their website and Google for out of town customers. If I was Gordon Ramsey he would have gave them a few choice words for their rude approach to new potential customers but since I'm not I'll just say that I will never recommend this location for my out of town friends that may go to this area for getaways. Very...
