I specifically asked for someone with strong hands that could handle a 90 min massage. Alexa was recommended to me for this appointment. First off, I have had professional massages from all over the world, maybe this is good for Ohio but otherwise extremely underwhelming. She was not personable, usually they would ask you if you have areas of concern, etc, non of that. The first 20 mins was spent sitting down by my head while I was facing up, sliding her hands under my back (what is that?). I was hoping it would get better but it became even more disappointing. I had to ask for more pressure twice and didn't get that either. Asked her to get the knot that was on my right shoulder blade and she tried for a few minutes and then just ran her whole forearm down my back...to "massage" my back. Meanwhile, the whole time from the start the bottle of oil I can hear had run out. Nothing ruins the sound of peaceful music like a bottle that's run empty and persistent pumps of air. By the end of all this 90 min massage, I still had a painful knot on my shoulder blade, no lower back massage work, no glute work, no quads, no hamstrings and barely any calf work. 90 mins was sufficient to get all those areas done well. Fancy place, but the massage was subpar at best. Maybe only a good place for women. I train and workout daily, I waited a week for this appointment only to have wasted my time and $150+ and leave with the exact same pains I came in. Alexa was not a good masseurs' not sure if she's new, tired or didn't care. This whole experience seem purely transactional. Worst part is that I was still in so much pain I had to book an appointment at a different place the next day, because this place pretty much accomplished nothing for me. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT. YOU'RE PAYING FOR THE DECOR NOT THE...
Read moreA friend got me a float as a gift. First you have to change clothes in a tiny bathroom then walk thru a semi-private area in your robe. Well being someone that is very self conscious about her body, this made me very uncomfortable. Once in the room I had to take a shower before entering the tub. I wear glasses, the room Is very dimly lit so when I turned the shower on I got blasted in the face with cold water!! Not a very good start. Being a little physically challenged it was extremely difficult to get in and out of the slippery tub even holding on to the one low hand rail. I was disappointed in the watertemperature, I expected to to be much warmer, and the room itself was cool Any part of my body that was not under water was cold so I was unable relax. I actually sat up a few times to try to warm my legs up a little. My skin was actually cool to the touch. So to me this really was not a very good experience. I would not go back or recommend it to anyone. It's a good concept but they need to warm it up and have more saftey measures in place and maybe make sure the shower head is pointed as far down...
Read moreOur first time doing a float, my husband bought us a couple's float gift certificate as a Christmas present. It was relaxing and a whole new experience for me. My husband came away with a ton of mental and healthy benefits. The only problem I think perhaps they could rectify is that even with the gift certificate, we still needed to pay taxes when we were done. I understand there are taxes, though I think it should be asked if the purchaser would like that included in the total of the certificate. The facilities are cozy and inviting. I appreciate all the amenities provided to freshen up after your float. I can't wait to come again for a foot massage, and my husband wants to...
