I love this place! I’ve been going to this iconic vintage Dairy Queen outlet for the last 20 years. It is THE Dairy Queen for the New Smyrna Beach area, and if you’re driving through and need something, sweet or salty, you won’t regret stopping by. A number of years ago, they purchased the property next-door and created more shaded parking areas, so there’s usually plenty of spaces available. They also added more outdoor seating, all nicely shaded with huge umbrellas. If you go on a Wednesday, like I did this week, don’t be surprised if there’s a short wait in the line, because on Wednesdays they have their “$1.99 Banana Split Special”, and they are popular! (Insider tip: Ask for the sprinkled nuts as an extra topping.) They have other specials every day of the week, see the list below. To top it all off, their servers are smiling, happy, friendly people, who will make you feel like you just stepped back in time to the 1970s, when life was simple and wonderful, and when people interacted with EACH OTHER, instead of with a metal & glass contraption that you had glued to your hand. Aahh yes, this place will take you back. Enjoy your visit!

🎉 DAILY SPECIALS: 🎉 Sunday: Your Way Parfait $4.09 Monday: Large Sundae $3.59 Tuesday: 2 Hot Dogs & Medium Shake $5.19 Wednesday: Banana Split $1.99 Thursday: 2 Hot Dogs, Large Soda and Chips $5.19 Friday: Large Blizzard $4.49 Saturday: Medium Moolatte $3.59

Every-Weekday Specials: ➡️ $6 Buck Lunch...Monday-Friday 11-3 = Hot Dog, Chips, M. Soda and Sm. Sundae ➡️ $7 Buck Lunch...Monday-Friday 11-3 = Hot Dog, Chips, M. Soda and Sm. Blizzard

I visit new Smyrna dairy Queen at least 1 or 2 times a day thier is a very limited selection of food since all they have to eat are hot dogs I usually get 2 and a shake the employees are friendly most of the time So I get hot dogs and a shake being such a simple menu makes u wonder why atleast half the time they mess up my order on both shakes and the hot dogs it's horrible to go there excited for good food and you order 2 chili cheese dogs with onions and thiers Alway something missing like onions on one and chili on another and so on and if by slim chance they don't mess up the order it's cold or the cheese isn't melted or the chili and cheese is all pilled up at 1 end of the hot dog it's even better when they put the hot dogs upside down in the to go bag as far as the milk shakes go I do get the flavor I want some of the time but they like to add a rediculous amount of what ever the flavor is so it's way to sweet or the don't hardly put any in and it has no flavor not to mention because I go there so much I have a good idea of what it costs and I have been overcharged a few times for example today I paid an additional $2.50 for an extra side of peanut butter sauce because my shake didn't taste like peanut butter at all making it over $6 for 1 med shake I know that's a busy store but I've managed a few stores and I've always been able to increase the percentages in one way or another and I'm sure that's the case here just because the girls are young and pretty doesn't mean they r good...

Wow! Instantly walk into a blast from the past! We were taking the scenic route back to Ormund Beach after visiting Apollo Beach at Canaveral National Seashore and saw the old throwback DQ. It reminded me of the walk-up DQ in the little town I grew up in northern Oklahoma. We •had• to stop!

This DQ, established in 1953, has been owned by the same family over all these years. Plenty of off-street parking and a building anticipation while you wait in line order, you’ll marvel at the vintage building and think about all the people who’ve been served over these many decades. They have daily deals and their hot dogs are only $1.29. Since we visited at 3:00 pm, and we’re planning to visit Charlie Horse in Ormund Beach (see my review there) later that night, I only wanted a little snack but I was really tempted to get a chili dog! The crew running the shop were quick and courteous.

It was worth the stop. Great ice cream, good service, and a super fun experience, you’ll want to stop by if you’re...

Built in 1953 and still owned by the original family. This location looks like it did back then. There is plenty of parking around the building and there are many umbrella covered places to sit and enjoy your food and ice cream. This place is very nostalgic and has won an historical award. There was a line of loyal customers waiting to make their orders but it moved quickly. The food prices are very reasonable but the menu is limited. You can have a delicious hot dog with toppings of you choice or some of the ice cream they offer there. We drove almost an hour to see this location after learning about it and were'nt disappointed. After our hot dogs we enjoyed some dessert. I had my childhood favorite, a Banana Split, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We will make sure to stop by again next time we are in the area or when we get a craving.
