An exceptional dining venue comes to New Ulm!
You will find unparalleled food selection with memorable presentation at New Ulm’s newest Mexican food venue. Azteca offers a unique and robust menu of Latino specialties including many seafood and vegetarian options. Food is served hot and delicious. Portions are large enough to share and even tortilla chips are made fresh to order.
The atmosphere is cozy. You’ll find a lively bar, dance floor and a vibrant collection of music selected for patrons. Restaurant was busy on a Wednesday evening but hosts and wait staff were quite efficient in managing waves of business.
The queso cheese dip is something I would highly recommend along with any enchilada choice. My friends happily noshed on chicken quesadillas and a chimichanga, all stating they were thrilled Azteca has come to town. Pricing is slightly steep; then again, you get what you pay for. Read moreA restaurant new in the New Ulm food scene. They took over a long vacant building and remade it tastefully into a bar/restaurant. We came on Sunday after church, and all the patrons were there for the first time. The menu is extensive, and is NOT part of the Aztecas chain in the Pacific Northwest.

We took a while to order but the food was appropriately warm as served, the drinks were cold, and the server wonderful, though there was a language divide that took some work to get through.
We highly recommend going to page two and three of the menu for more authentic cuisine and leaving the Mexican-American page one behind. You’ll enjoy and appreciate the food...
Read moreI’ve tried this place a few times and something is always wrong or overcharged. I understand there is a big language barrier but come on now, if you’re not understanding what I’m asking then get someone who can. We went for margaritas one night because they actually are really good. The one time we came they were only $6-7 the next time we went got the same size it was $13 honestly I’d never pay $13.99 for a drink I can make at home. They are really good but not $14 good lol. Certain items we ordered were different the shrimp on the clothes line the clips holding them are not food safe I can guarantee. The wings are good but everything else I’ve tried could be better for sure. It’s always really cold in there so I’m not sure if the heat’s not working because they always have space...
