I stumbled upon Lykke Books while in downtown New Ulm, and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm, welcoming vibe and the expertly curated selection of books and gifts for all ages. The collection is diverse, thoughtful, and timely—I was excited to find several titles from my “to read” list in stock (a rare surprise!).
The staff was knowledgeable and kind, and the space itself is cozy with multiple inviting areas to sit and read. I grabbed an iced coffee and a scone (yum!) from the in-store Nu Brew Café, took advantage of the free wifi to catch up on a few emails, and could have easily stayed all day.
I left with a stack of books and plans to bring my kids back soon so they can discover their next reads. It's so great to have Lykke Books right here in New Ulm....
   Read moreOne of the locations on the Midwest Indie Bookstore Roadmap! It's a fun little bookstore and worth a peek around. It's small, but it has a variety of books--novels, poetry, activity books, puzzles, and I'm pretty sure there's nonfiction. It also has some musical things: a rack of beautiful ukuleles and a musical metal...drum...instrument...thing? It's cool, trust me :)
