Brown County Historical Society — Attraction in New Ulm

This museum is phenominal! I was highly impressed with the first and third floors. I look forward to checking out the rest of the museum in the future. Enjoyed learning about the history of Brown County and the city of New Ulm. Learned it was an industrial and agricultural rival to the Twin Cities and Duluth for flour milling and other industries like cigar manufacturing. The Dakota - United States war was well documented. Only critique is scant information was provided about the causes of the war, I found one paragraph that described the corruption which prevented the Native Americans from getting the resources promised...

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff worked with us for 5 hours. (one hour break for lunch) Displays, books, postcards, replicas of vintage toys, very impressive program offerings.
