Bruzzese's Italian Gourmet Salumeria — Restaurant in New York

As a deli,Italian specialty store it’s very good. It’s a little pricey, but the food is real good quality. Why only 3 stars?…. Christmas Catering…..Never Never Never! order food for Christmas. If you like to wait 2 hours to pick up food on a holiday, then this place is for you. It was a total greedy mismanaged mess. I was called 4 days before and asked to come in early at noon to pick up my order. (Was 3pm) It was Christmas Eve and I had many errands and visits planned. I went at 12, 2 and 3. Each time there was about 60 people waiting for their orders. I went on another errand and returned at 3:15 then I got on line. I waited 1 hour and 20 minutes. Then they told me that they couldn’t find half of my order. After about 15 minutes I asked for a refund for that portion. They gladly gave me a refund since they were so overwhelmed. The total operation was mismanaged and understaffed. No excuse. They took too many orders with no plan to easily deliver the product. I have to commend the customers, they stayed very civil. My food was very good but not worth the wait especially on...

Bruzzese’s is the best. I called in 5 monster heroes at 9:00 on a sunday morning and they said 10-15min- I was there in 12min and they were waiting on me! Not to mention all that food (fed 7 hungry guys) cost me less than 75 bucks which is a rarity nowadays.

The guys at the deli counter are absolute gentlemen and take pride in what they do. There’s good food all over the island but Bruzzese’s is GREAT food provided by an EXCELLENT team. Just walking through the store is a great experience. Owner/management runs a tight ship! I wouldn’t hesitate to eat off the floors. Bravo!

I’d leave 0 stars if I could. NOT THE SAME! I knew immediately that it wasn’t the same Certo’s I’d been going to for 20+ years and under new ownership! I bought mozzarella/prosciutto rolls- the mozzarella was sour and the prosciutto was like plastic, sour mozzarella balls, “antipasto” salad that was all peppers and no meat, EVERY SINGLE SALAD “dressing” is just an overwhelming amount of balsamic vinegar (I think it’s to cover the lack of freshness), the bread isn’t the same, NOTHING is the same.
