MÉXICO 🇲🇽 Excerpt from Eat the World NYC: In the world of chain operations, Café con Pan is the type the city needs. This location is the second of three, a company that originated in Sunset Park, Brooklyn about ten years ago but has spread to two spots in Staten Island since. Currently in its sixth year of business, this panaderia and pasteleria makes a lot more than baked goods and sweets. Café con Pan exists at a really exciting time on Port Richmond Avenue in Elm Park, a stretch that gets more and more interesting with every visit. Its many tables might not seem busy at most times, but in just a few minutes you realize it is a very active place. People are in and out quickly, grabbing sweet breads or tamales and tortas mostly for takeout. While deciding what to get, the large family that had come in just before went straight for the tongs to grab pan dulce. To make a lunch decision easier, a danish and coffee was ordered to follow suit and give a bit more time. The shop has a logo that looks a lot like this order, so it confirmed it was a proper first move.

Look at this garbage they serve me after going there for over 5 years , slowly I watched this business go into garbage the staff she is incredibly rude some short chubby woman with a lot of lipstick and fake lashes …after I tipped her 5$$ for a mistake they make asks them nicely to add beans on my tacos …she gave me this …..that place went to trash .and I got the same thing before and it don’t look like this she was petty . Clearly the more I kept going there it’s like I was getting annoying to them for giving them business . The people ARE LAZY THERE . I think they switched the cook because nahaha it’s 🤮 now I have alot more things to say but this was the top of the Cherry for me. NEW DORP is actually waaay better !! Go to new dorp please 🙏.

I wanted to support a local business, so I ordered two large hot coffees. Unfortunately, when the delivery arrived, both cups had spilled significantly and were only about a quarter full. I immediately called the shop at 9:20 PM to let them know what happened. A young woman answered the phone and laughed it off, saying it was probably only a little bit that spilled. There was no apology, no offer to make it right, and no acknowledgment of the inconvenience. The pastries were good, but the service could definitely be better. I’ll probably think twice before ordering again.

I placed an order through Door Dash for Cafe Con Pan II and it was missing tres leches cake. I called to let them know and they refused to bring it out saying, "We're busy and can't send someone out for just a cake" when this was their error and it was already paid for by me. I recently had surgery and cannot drive to get the cake which is why it was ordered, I was offered a credit for my next order which is not sufficient. No one hands a restaurant money for an item to eat it at a later date. Terrible customer service. The guacamole was also not worth the money, it was quickly and poorly made with more tomato and onion in large chunks thank avocado. I'll stick to their other store which seems to be better with customer service and...
