Carvel — Restaurant in New York

06/04/25 I have been a long time customer of this Carvel. This location is under new management and that extends to quality control. I ordered pistachio soft serve and it tasted sour! The color was a faint green almost blue; I had to throw it away. In addition, the prices increased on all sizes by $2. It’s unfortunate my family lost a local staple :(

Experience was acknowledged, noted, and rectified. The manager and staff explained it was a problem with their soft service machine at the end of the day, and lack of oversight. The store gifted my family and I a redo of our original purchase—with a complimentary extra. The staff truly cares about the quality of their products and customer satisfaction. Excellent customer service. The Ice cream today was of the same quality it always is.

In Flushing, food and quick service businesses have garnered a reputation of not caring about their quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction. Need a custom cake in about a week and attempted to order online but, for this particular location some of the choices and customizations are not avaliable. I decided to take a trip here to place my order in-person rather than call and have confusion or a misunderstanding with the order specifics, payment, etc. I was properly greeted and attended to but, with what I requested the Carvel employee said the person that works on the custom orders was not avaliable at the moment (it was the weekend) and understandly so. She had me write my name and phone number along with the order specifics and said someone will reach out to me the next day regarding the order. The day has gone by without a call as stated and defeated the purpose of me traveling to the location in the first place. A waste of my time and poor...

Drink was decent I guess. However customer service was awful. I asked the cashier a simple question: what kind of milkshake do you have?

She replied with nasty attitude and she went to the drink after I ordered, she was telling another employee that why would anyone come to ice cream store asking about what type of milkshakes do you have? (I guess is kinda my fault for not bring my glasses)

Honesty, I don’t know why she couldn’t respond like a normal human being and answer a simple question. Now a customer is upset, and they give receive a negative feedback. All because a employee wanted to give a custom bad attitude...
