Carvel — Restaurant in New York

BEWARE! My girlfriend went Carvel to get me a sundae and other ice cream treats. The reason why I asked her to go is because I have a broken ankle. She gets back, I open my sundae and on the first bite I eat a human hair. Not the end of the world it’s a little unpleasant. I called Carvel explain to them the girl turns around and says will bring it back and I told her I have a broken ankle I can’t leave the house while there’s nothing we can do she didn’t apologize she wasn’t sincere I asked for a manager they don’t have a manager there’s only employees and the owner the owner wasn’t there the girl was rude and unprofessional. This is my second unpleasant experience with this location. It’s out of my hands now. I’m calling the health department. Maybe They should be a little more considerate to the Study customers. Today I was craving an ice cream cone. I ordered a small cone looking at the size chart that was what I wanted. The new girl there today hands me a cone looking more like a kid size. So I doubled checked my ordered with what I was given, def charged for a small. Manager comes over to “help” the situation, takes the kid size I’m holding to re do my new order for a kid size because I changed my order bc either way they’re just ripping me off at this point. Literally goes out of his way to make the smallest amount on a cone to show the “difference” although I can compare an actual kid size with my husbands order which has more swirls, more ice cream. Literally made no sense. Take carvels name off the business , size charts, etc. They do what they want and clearly don’t care about making a customer happy. We were weekly customer's, taking our business...

In the food industry, closing at 10 doesn’t mean you get to go home at 10. It means you lock the door and begin your nightly cleaning routine.

Shutting down machines 30-45 minutes before closing and denying customers service (especially when what you are denying is soft serve…the very thing you are famous for) is completely unacceptable.

Whats even more unacceptable is that not only were workers cleaning up too early…but the OWNERS were as well. Denying customers services along with staff.

This is my first and maybe last google review. But as someone who has worked in food, this struck me deeply. You do not close at 9:30. You serve until 10, and stay as late as you need to for cleaning. If you want to leave by 10,...
