Denino's Pizzeria & Tavern is an absolute gem and deserves every one of its 5 stars. I recently dined at this establishment, and it exceeded my expectations in every way.
The star of the show, of course, is the pizza. Denino's serves up some of the best pies I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside, and the generous toppings are fresh and delicious. Whether you're a fan of classic cheese pizza or prefer a specialty pie, their menu offers a wide range of options to satisfy every palate. The secret to their success lies in the time-tested recipes that have been handed down through generations, and you can truly taste the tradition in every bite.
The atmosphere in the tavern is cozy and inviting. It's the kind of place where you immediately feel at home. The friendly and attentive staff add to the warm ambiance, making you feel like a cherished guest. It's a wonderful spot for a family dinner, a casual lunch, or a night out with friends.
But Denino's is not just about pizza. Their menu offers a variety of Italian dishes and other pub-style favorites, all of which are equally delicious. Their pasta dishes are cooked to perfection, and the appetizers are ideal for sharing. The selection of beers and wines complements the menu beautifully, ensuring there's something for everyone.
The location is also a plus, as it's conveniently situated for both locals and visitors, making it an excellent choice for those exploring the area.
In summary, Denino's Pizzeria & Tavern is a culinary treasure. From the mouthwatering pizza to the welcoming atmosphere and exceptional service, it checks all the boxes for a perfect dining experience. If you're a fan of great food, you simply can't miss the opportunity to savor the delights that Denino's has to offer. I can't wait to return and indulge in more of their delicious offerings. Read moreI believe it's long overdue for me to give Denino's a justifiable review.
I've been going to Denino's for as long as I can humanly possibly remember, from when I was a itty-bitty child with my family and friends till this day with family and close friends as a grown (middle aged) adult. Every chance when I set foot on the island, I always go straight to Denino's to get my favorite large cheese pie seasoned with crushed red pepper and some galamad on the side.
Denino's has and always will hold a special place in my heart, lots of good memories were made coming here, every single time I go there from back then and recently, it never gets old.
I've always been treated respectfully by all the staff, maybe part of it is cause I'm a familiar face there and a straight shooter once it comes to what I want. I really don't get how there are bad reviews about some staff, maybe it's because the customers who visit there ask dumb questions or acts rude themselves without realizing it. Who knows, what do I know? I've only been a patronage there for so long and never got beef from anyone, that and everyone is going through some kind of struggle with all the crap happening in NY and everywhere else around the globe, so learn to cut people some slack (talking to all you bad reviewers talkin smack about the staff). You just never know what others are going through, so be mindful of that.
With all that being said, thank you Denino's for being a big part of me, my friends, and family's life. My favorite go to pizzeria handsdown, despite just discovering the other Denino's location over in Aberdeen Township NJ, their pizza is absolutely amazing, that I'm sort of jelly...
Read moreThe guy behind the bar sees our large group enter the pizzeria and automatically says "I don't like customers. Head to the back for seating." Slightly perplexed by his rudeness, we continued to hang around and get to know him better. The truth: He just doesn't like customers. I'm not even mad. He was just being truthful and didn't put on any face to show otherwise. You get respect from me just by speaking your mind and still serving me beer with a smile.
I've only been to Denino's once, and it was one of 4 pizza places in Staten Island within 5 hours and countless beers. Regardless of how intoxicated and filled with other pizza I was, I loved Denino's slices the most. I must have had 2 MORs and 1 garbage before I decided to save some room for more beer. The Mushroom Onion Ricotta was just fantastic. I would eat this all day. A fellow blogger said that he saw the mushrooms looked canned by the way they were perfectly cut. I don't mind it because it still tasted great. The sausage and pepperoni in the Garbage slice was excellent and complimented extremely well.
I found it difficult comparing Joe & Pat's and Denino's mainly because I think they appeal to different styles of pizza. Denino's has a slightly thicker crust that reminds me of what a NYC slice embodies. Joe & Pat's has that Italian-style with thin crust and perfect crisps. The truth is, I'd have a slice from each and do the commute for either one of these places any day I need to quash a pizza craving. I love them both and I can't wait to go back. If you haven't tried either of these places, please, just visit the Rock. It's not...
