I ordered a chicken parmigiana sandwich on a hero. The sign above the counter stated clearly it was $11.00. When I got to the register I was charged $13.00. When I asked about the $2.00 difference I was told it was "tax." Not believing this I called later on and asked the price, the same person behind the register previously - I believe - answered the phone and said it was $10.00 at first, but recognizing my voice, said $13.00 and abruptly said "goodbye." I am surprised because the person normally behind the counter is customarily very friendly and willing to explain costs in a charitable way. It's sad that I have to stop going there for sandwiches, because the food is excellent and I usually feel welcomed. This time I did not. I willingly forgo the food if I feel I'm being cheated.
