El Sazon De Olga — Restaurant in New York

Surprised that this place does not have better reviews! Not sure if some changes have been made but I have visited a couple times now, once for breakfast, once for lunch and another time to pick up and their service has been A+ on point 👌🏼

Their breakfast sandwiches are huge - we had ordered two and a soursoap juice (delicious!) and realized we could have easily ordered one to share and it would have been enough 😂 the order came out very quick, all ingredients were super fresh and the sandwiches were packed (especially with avocado)!

Picked up some lunch plates for a meeting and their presentation is very good, clean and neat - the food was very good.

I once ordered a lunch plate to dine in: rice, beans, roasted chicken and maduritos and it was incredibly tasty and fresh... Id definitely go back

Their prices I believe are a little bit up - this last lunch plate made for example USD$21 dollars with taxes and without tip and it didnt even include any drinks... which is not really reasonable for just a plate of spanish food.

The ambience is nice, the place is very very clean, they do get a 10/10 for cleanliness and their service is also very very good and fast.

Would go back once around but I will definitely check on the price before ordering...

Started out with great food and great service. Now the staff is unaware of pricing and is comfortable taking their time as they socialize ringing up an order. Ordered last night and this afternoon. Was given the pot scrapings of the left over rice that was all hard (not pegao....hard. Pot scraped. Rice.) I didnt even ask for pegao/concon and wasn't informed that was what was left or I would have ordered differently. Today I ordered pernil was given more than half of my order in fat. The bit of meat I did get was slightly pink and unseasoned. It tasted like boiled pork...not oven roasted or seasoned at all. I called to complain and was told 'it wasnt me' and that 'today's staff had nothing to do with last night's staff'. Had to ask for a manager/supervisor. So disappointed because the food was really good and the service was excellent every other time I've been/had delivery. Won't be eating from here again. To think....last time I started a 5 star review and was distracted before I posted it. Glad I didnt. Reeeeeally...

To be completely honest I rarely ever do reviews but today I took a bite into this food and immediately was pissed off I’m so hungry right now and mad this food tastes like absolutely nothing at all the pernil is dry and flavorless they didn’t have yellow rice and beans just white rice with beans i requested a lemon as I always do when I’m trying from a new place because the lemon will save the taste sometimes but baby not today it tastes like I squeezed lemon on bread OLD BREAD the fact that this cost almost 20 dollars is insane the portion size was very small I’m talking a small scoop of meat which could be made up for with flavor but everything is just messed up across the board I hate trolling but I had to come and say something the taste of this food left me feeling defenseless I feel as though I just got robbed ! I’m super disappointed and don’t want somebody trying something new to have to share the disappointment . Also the staff have no training in hospitatlity mannerisms energy everything...
