We haven't been to Brisas del Caribe in a long time but I felt like having steak & onions with rice & beans. I'm so glad I told my hubby to stop here & eat because the steak & onions with rice & beans were soooooo good.๐๐๐๐ I haven't had a great steak with excellent sauce from cooking it, with onions, in forever. Usually the steak is greasy & the onions are flavorless from different Latin places. This was wonderful & the size of the steak OMG. The place is nothing great it has a decent amount of space to sit and eat if you want to dine in. It's more like an Express eat in cuchifrito with great steak & onions. I specifically say steak & onions because when we used to come here more frequently my hubby used to get the chicken & like most all places the chicken is dry with not much flavor. It's like popcorn to me; it smells a whole lot better than I enjoy the taste. Nothing worst than dry anything meat wise. Oh I can't forget to mention how great their beans are ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ man oh man I was in heaven eating them. They're very flavorful that I could just eat spoonfuls. I ate practically the large size by myself (over a few days) which my stomach didn't thank me for of...
ย ย ย Read moreI canโt say enough about Brisas. It is, hands down, the best Dominican restaurant in all of New York! From the moment you walk in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere makes you feel like youโre about to enjoy a meal at a close friendโs home.
The food is nothing short of spectacular. Every dish bursts with authentic Dominican flavors, prepared with the freshest ingredients and a touch of love. The mangu was silky smooth, the pernil tender and juicy, and the arroz con habichuelas seasoned to perfection. Each bite transported me straight to the Dominican Republic.
Their attention to detail and commitment to tradition shine through in every plate. And letโs not forget about the drinks! The batidas were creamy and refreshing, while the mofongo paired perfectly with their well-crafted cocktails.
The service was impeccable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always eager to recommend their favorite dishes, ensuring an outstanding dining experience from start to finish.
If youโre in New York and craving authentic Dominican cuisine, Brisas is the place to be. Itโs more than just a meal; itโs a celebration of Dominican culture and hospitality. Absolutely worth every...
ย ย ย Read moreMy goodness...where do I begin? At the beginning of course, I have NEVER done this, but I have to inform everyone of my experience. Got there at 8:30 p.m. on a Sunday night with my husband, niece and brother in law. A homeless man opened the door asking for money, we sat down, and another homeless man actually walked in, and asked us for money! I ordered one pastele, it was pretty good. Now here is where it gets ugly. I ordered mashed potatoes and steak with onions, my husband and his brother shared the boneless chicken chunks, white rice, rice with longaniza, a whole chicken and a huge potato ball. The potato ball came...super hot on theoutside, and cold as ice on the inside, I refused to eat it...but they did. My steak, was freezing!! Mashed potatoes were boxed mash(piping hot). Their chicken chunks had no flavor, their longaniza rice? Rice was warm and longaniza was freezing cold. I opened my can of coke...no fizz..it was flat!! The whole chicken was super burned and flavorless. This was the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life. I can't believe so many things were cold!!! The waitress was lovely, she took great care of us but I will never go...
