I came in to get a rye bread sliced, the store worker was sitting at a table. He got up an didn't put gloves on, just took a couple of sheets of paper in either hand, and after slicing the bread, he put it in the bag, and with his bare hand, pressed the end of the bread into the bag. Previously, he put his bare hand in the bag to open it wide. Mind you, he was seated before I walked in, who knows where his hands were before touching the bread, wiping the sweat off his face, who knows. I decided to visit this bakery based on reviews. I walked in and said good morning to the older lady behind the counter. She kept her back turned and I got no response. I was annoyed but patiently waited at the counter to be acknowledged and nothing. A man walked in a few moments later and greeted the same woman as he walked to the back of the store. “Hello Maria”. She quickly turned around and responded to the man, then asked me how she could help me. I walked out. I shopping from this bakery many- many years ago .They have the best rye bread with and without seeds. Always fresh! I love the lady who so friendly with everyone, all the time! Cheese danish also fabulous, and all other pastries, cakes ,rolls, and bagels! It’s a Jewish bakery they made fresh baked challah.Very pricey but still my favorite bakery...
