I visited Hongdae Korean Restaurant in Flushing, NY around 3:20 in the morning, and it ended up being one of the best late-night dining experiences Iโve had. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming and the service was top-notch. Our waiter, Kevin, really stood out โ he was attentive, friendly, and had such great energy that made the whole experience even better.
We ordered the combo wings that come with a bottle for $59, and it was absolutely worth it. The wings were crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned โ definitely a highlight of the night. Pairing it with the bottle made it feel like a complete experience, perfect for late-night eats with friends.
The food came out quickly, but the speed didnโt take away from the quality at all. Everything was fresh, hot, and well-prepared. As a chef, I really appreciate when a kitchen can deliver both speed and quality, especially at such late hours. You can tell they take pride in their food no matter the time of day.
Overall, Hongdae in Flushing exceeded my expectations. Great food, generous portions, late-night availability, and incredible service from Kevin made this spot a must-visit. Iโll definitely be back and will recommend it to anyone looking for a late-night spot in New York that doesnโt...
ย ย ย Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at a Korean pocha restaurant, and it was truly a delightful experience. The vibrant atmosphere immediately drew me in, with lively K-pop tunes playing in the background. The menu offered a diverse selection of authentic Korean street food, each dish bursting with flavor and prepared with precision.
One standout was the crispy and flavorful Korean fried chicken, perfectly complemented by a variety of dipping sauces. The seafood pancake was another highlight, with a delightful blend of fresh ingredients and a crispy exterior. The friendly staff added to the overall positive atmosphere, providing excellent service and recommendations.
The pocha-style setting, reminiscent of Korean street food stalls, created a unique and immersive dining experience. Whether you're a Korean cuisine enthusiast or a first-time explorer, this restaurant is a must-try for its delicious dishes, welcoming ambiance, and attentive service. I can't wait to return and savor more of their...
ย ย ย Read moreCool trendy place with young good looking people. We should have known that the food quality would not be as good for us old fogies and our high standards.
The restaurant has on each table a QR code that customers can use to leave a Google review in return for a free soda. However I did not want the free soda, as I wanted my review to be unbiased.
The pig trotter platter at $28 was about 60% of the size of other places like Cheo God.Zip and Yetnal Tongdak. I believe the restaurant is getting two orders out of a single pig leg as we did not receive the main bone. I'm a toe-lover and we only got 2 of them. The brisket jjampong noodle hotpot at $33 was good and tasty but it had no noodles. We asked for noodles which are normally included in a jjampong and they charge $4 for a side plate of thin udon-style noodles.
Overall, the place is cool but not that special and there are many other places where you can get...
