It's 2 a.m. and you're just getting off the 4 train at 183 St after a hard night's work. And you're hungry. And this is the only thing open. Play Chicken (no pun intended) with the self-appointed doorman at the door trying to charge you a door-opening fee, puff your chest up and get yourself that 3-for-1 (wing, leg, thigh) or the new 5-for-5 (you know what I can't even remember the combination right now but there's some legs and there's some thighs). The head African guy is pretty cool. I've been a Parton for several years now. If you're hungry high hungover or a combination of all of the latter and you're within a 0.3 radius at 2 a.m., this is the place for you. I will say...their food is fresh. They don't keep their chicken under heat lamps for hours and often you may have to wait while they fry up a new batch. So...

No question that it’s a dump with the mysterious “review pending” grade for businesses that get an F rating for cleanliness, but that’s hardly the worst of it. Cashiers constantly take money, give you just about whatever, and don’t refund you when they can’t fix the order (out of something they didn’t tell you was out, or whatever.) They don’t answer the phone when you call and sending an email to whoever “answers” the email address posted up front might as well be trashed instead of sent. They can find someone halfway competent to work for minimum wage...

Kennedy Fried Chicken is located on the corner of 183 Street and Jerome Ave. I actually grew up in this neighborhood and I still live here. The fast food franchise 😋has been serving our community for over 23 years. The food is very good. It's made fresh as you wait. The restaurant is very clean.
