Elsa La Reina Del Chicharron — Restaurant in New York

I always order food from this restaurant, ever since I was a little girl. Today in freezing cold weather I called in advance to pick it up and the owner said they had a little time until they closed and I had to place my order in person. I told her there is no parking around for me to wait, I would pay with my card in advance and that the food would not be left there. She was completely nasty to me and said I had to come place the order. Mind you the order takes 20 minutes and There was still an hour and a half until closing time. I was 7 mins away so now I am currently sitting in my car, it’s so cold it’s not even heating up properly all because of this owners rules and no care for her customers and apparently her family because she said she wouldn’t even take an advanced order for her family, or her mother. She didn’t have to say all that. NYC here I am waiting in an illegal spot, just because of this terrible customer service. Also Elsa’s sweep your floors, cleanliness reflects upon your restaurant. I do not recommend going here, the customer service is terrible. My mother is a loyal customer for many years, she goes in for a $10 order of Chicharrones, the employee is giving her a small plastic container and she politely ask for a slightly bigger plate and offers to pay for the plate. As the employee tells my mother they usual serve it in a small container the Manager out of nowhere intrudes and proceeds to yell at my mother saying if you already told her and don't listen move on to the next customer(in Spanish). Everyone stood there in shock looking at her and at my mother. That manager is extremely rude and clearly hates her job. If you do hate your job that much leave. You lost a very loyal customer, a women who has visited this restaurant for over 18 years gets this type of treatment over asking for a bigger plate. The food is delicious but the service is an ABOMINATION. I watched about 15 people line up after me, while all the girls huddled in the back talking and giggling. Ignoring them. 2 people left..a big crowd formed. I ate my entire lunch plate (I had to ask for more meat because the girl gave a portion I've never seen in the Bronx. Like she's scared to fill the plate.)while these poor people were ignored. Nothing the staff was discussing is that important if your laughing and letting money walk out the door. 20min before you even say hi to these people? I ate my entire meal while they talked in the back.

I'll never step foot in this place again. And the girl at the counter has such a bad attitude because I dont speak Spanish. Its not a big issue. Fix your face and be nice. I came to just pay and eat a good meal. Horrible. Do not go here. So many...
