Update: Finally, Ive had the luxury and privilege of tasting this delicious restaurant's food. Pricey but worth every cent!! I had their Jerk Chicken and House Special Fried Rice!! My Hubby had the BBQ chicken with Brown Rice, and my daughter had her own serving of Fried chicken and House Special fried rice!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Okay, this is definitely one place I must say I am saddened by the fact that I have not eaten there yet. I went to pick up some food there for delivery and the place smells delicious!!! 😋♥️😋 Not just that, the ambience is robust and full of people enjoying their lives while trying to enjoy their meals at the same time. The place is also beautifully decorated♥️. I can only imagine The taste of the food at this moment. But what I don't have to imagine is that people look really happy, not just to be working there, but to be there period. The gentleman that gave me the delivery was very friendly😀. The put the tables Are decorated very beautifully as well. They were perfectly spaced out so that every guest will have ample space to move and ample space to stuff their bellies!! The gentleman told me that the order wasn't quite ready. So I had to wait about two minutes, but I did not want to leave when he came with the food. It's a good idea that if you work delivering food that you eat something before you start delivering. With that being said, I will make it a point to come visit this place and fill my heart and my belly until they both sit content.🤭😋😋 Excellent Name the legend Cookhouse. There used to be other chains all the stores and restaurants that had that level of service. An ambience like IHOP. But now I hop is more of a casual fast-food place. This place is not such a place. The food is decent to good, the decor- don't care since I order food to go, the service is pretty bad. I ordered food on 4 separate occasions and it was only ready on 1 occasion. One time I ordered a tray of their house special fried rice with NO PORK and jerk chicken and they tried to charge me $81.00 when I cousin ordered the same thing two weeks prior and they charged her $55.00, then they dropped the price to $65.00 and said it would take 30 minutes after I waited 20 minutes already after I thought the receptionist placed the order. When I got there 20 minutes later my order still wasn't ready and had to wait another 10 minutes. The last time (2/9/13 , 3;14PM) that I placed an order for the house special fried rice with NO PORK and jerk chicken, they said it would take an hour, so I went to pick up the order at 5:00PM and waited 5 minutes before the bartender seen that walking back and forth and asked if I needed help. I told her that I was there for my order and she checked and said that it would take another 5 minutes, at which point I told her that that's over 90 minutes of waiting for an order that was supposed to ready in one hour. After picking up my order and taking it home, I discovered that there was PORK in my order that I specifically ordered NO PORK in my fried rice. The owner/manager needs to clean up this place and re-train-if they trained at all- their staff if reading the order slips and customer service...

I went to this restaurant to dine in today and my experience was very unsatisfying. I used to order from here regularly during the pandemic and my family has eaten food from here for years. I paid a visit for the first time in maybe a year and a half. I ordered shrimp and chicken fried rice with fried chicken and chicken lo mien. The rice was just okay and so was the fried wings. The lo mien was disgusting very mushy and it didn’t taste good at all. I give the food a 2/10 honestly. Very disappointing. The true reason for my 1 star was because the server was very unprofessional. Body language speak more than anything. For one, when I told her I didn’t like the lo mien she said I’m sorry you don’t like it she didn’t even reach for the plate to take it back initially. Secondly she doesn’t actually have customer service skills. Her attitude read all over her face and in her eyes. She even tried to get smart when separating the bill and still did it incorrectly. You need to teach your employees manner. As a paying customer I’m disgusted. But it’s all good and well. I wouldn’t ever eat from here again I’ll be going to my favorite spot Kaieteur! That place is amazing and the food is alway always soo good ! Best Guyanese Chinese in queens...
