Great short stay , landed around midnight and took the air train to federal circle for hotel pickups - don’t have to call the hotel , they have pickups every 30 minutes and friendly, helpful drivers even though it was after midnight ! Driver helped load luggage for all passengers in the back and the 12 to 14 person van had great comfortable seats, warmed up , outside was breezy and cold with rain , typical New York weather. Very interesting that no one bothered tipping! A quick short 10 minute drive later , we were at the hotel, being helped by 2 people at around 1 am. Super efficient team, they recognized my titanium membership, gave me the 1000 point amenity and offered 2 bottles of Evian water as a courtesy since they said there wasn’t any bottled water in the room ( residence inn doesn’t keep bottled water). Great king suite room , note - there are 2 types of rooms , the studio room is the only one that has kitchen with pots pans and mugs. I didn’t realize and asked for some mugs so I could heat up water in the microwave for some instant food for my kid. The mugs were brought up to me on the 6th floor within minutes after 1 am - wow! The bathroom shower pressure was great and the towels, beds, sheets etc are all new. Suggestions / feedback for improvement - someone had put water in the shower gel - this is the problem with the communal shower shampoo and conditioner plastic bottles compared to the old disposable ones. Recommend that you empty out these containers after each stay as you never know what people do and to avoid any contamination. Great short pickup and drop off directly to your airport terminal in jfk, no need for air train, nicely done Jfk. Overall great value fir the price $250 for 1 night...
Read moreMarriott Residence Inn New York JFK is such a great spot to stay in. This is my 2nd time staying and yet again - the service did not disappoint! Located just 10 mins drive from JFK airport, the hotel was absolutely perfect for our late night arrival stay.
The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service which departs from Federal circle. Simply take the air-train from JFK airport to Federal circle and then exit on floor minus 1 to get to the shuttle area. Shuttles arrive and depart every 30 minutes and have about 8 seats – making it a nice convenient and great value for money option for those on a budget.
We stayed in a kitchenette Queen room which was clean and modern and had all the home from home amenities we needed such as cutlery, a microwave, fridge and vanity kit. The hotel also has complimentary water in the room and coffee machine for those in need of a caffeine fix!
For those on a budget – the hotel offers complimentary breakfast which is hugely filling. Lasting from 7am through to 9am, there is something for everyone – bagels, cream cheese, jelly/jam, scrambled eggs, fruit, turkey burgers and sausages all of which can be washed down with a refreshing glass of water or tea coffee. The kitchen staff also are kind enough to offer takeout cutlery /boxes which is perfect for those trying to make an early morning flight! All in all – this perfectly located hotel stay was great and its very easy to get to midtown New York from ( a train from Jamaica goes straight to NY Penn station ) making this a great choice for a hotel stay close to JFK airport!

It’s horrible the rooms there was still stuff there from the last guest so it was not right cleaned The bed was horrible. I had so much back pain. I don’t sleep the whole night so and the air vents are to loud from the Bathroom you don’t can shut them down they going the whole night so you hear them The blankets and the pillows is absolute horrible then we are going by 8:45 to the breakfast then tell us or you have to be quick by by 9 am is the breakfast close? I mean listen I am ambassador abut this is the worst of the worst Hotel in the whole Mariott Group. What I been since I am ambassador by Marriott . I go to Reception and complain about what is the problem with the Breakfast .This guy Was so incompetent !!! I ask him where is the manager ,and he said the manager is not in the house He said I am the only one here good luck I think to my self That’s how you treat ambassador in this hotel so every ambassador don’t go in this hotel.!!!!!!!.The night before we trying to get in the Marriott hotel across for some dinner so they had issues too everything was cold the restaurant and the bar was cold people sitting in with the jackets there so I asked him manage why they don’t put the heat on and he said oh we have some problems. This is a engineer problem so I told him I’m not on a survival training here to eat my food in the cold and he said oh so sorry but nothing I can do welcoming in New York I thought it to myself !!! No one here have wanna do anything what is have to do with work? Every employee pushing it to the next one in line
