Satguru Sweets — Restaurant in New York

I am from Punjab and I moved to the United States at a very young age and one of the things I missed was the food from Punjab. That North Indian taste could not truly be achieved by anyone I met so far here in the US. That was until I decided to grab my car and take a drive, I passed Satguru Sweets & Catering many times. Then I decided to give it a try. The place was very welcoming and the path on the T.V. really tied that aroma of happiness. It was very big and open not something small and local to me. I have to say from the minute I saw the glass doors I knew I would enjoy my stay. My nine year old brother adored the cushion seats! But the best part was the food. It was flavorful and descent. The moment the food arrived the scent attracted me to it right away. I really would love to give them a round of applause because they truly deserve not just for the hospitality but the served items that made me want to back again and again. My favorites were honestly the cholee and samosa. Mmmmm! Would definitely recommend this to anyone...

Very dissapointing customer service. I’ve placed orders on the phone ina advance, and when I go in to retrieve them, I’ve had to wait 20-25 minutes to retrieve them. Today took the cake. Called in my order, came in 20 minutes later, and I waited in there for another 20 minutes. It took forever for them to acknowledge me, and there was ample staff at the counter. I asked for my order 3 times, and she kept saying it was coming. I was trying to get some mithai as well but the other woman was studiously ignoring me and some other customers. When I got irritated and asked if I could get my food, as I had been waiting a while, the woman screeched that it was ready, and that other people were waiting too.
