Love this masjid and have been coming for a year near but have something to address.
My sister's family is very involved with the masjid and as of last year I started attending regularly as well. I like how they have events and classes on one floor, lots of community event, and a strong tight knit community. Masjid is always clean and well taken care of.
Recently there was a youth event and that is what has encouraged me to make this review. I want to say I am proud of the youth who were in this event. My nephew is in the youth group so I hear a lot of things. I've heard how the new coordinator is not at all helpful to these kids and I think the masjid should be addressing this. He does nothing for these kids and they are always behind him for things when he is the leader. This event should have proven that. The speaker was late, not dressed well, and did not even have a presentation or slideshow to display. The tasting table that the masjid youth arranged was the best part. There was a young girl who shared fruit cups and personally brought it to us because we were sitting with our kids. She was very good with the kids also. Before the speaker arrived she called all the kids into the masjid and told them to run around until the speaker arrives. They were all shocked as they are used to being yelled at for having fun in the masjid. She even played with them chasing them around. When we got home my children were so happy they told me it was the first time they played in the masjid and did not get yelled at. Wish I had this sisters name but I want to appreciate her for her kindness. This is what we need in our community. Youth and leaders who encourage our children to love the masjid. These youth in this group should be able to choose their leader. Someone who will support them and make things more easy for them not bring hardship.
Aside from this the masjid community is great. A great place to learn, meet others, and become a...
Read moreI was there last night for the first time with my friend. I must say that it's a very welcoming environment. They sisters did a excellent job. Everything was set up on time service was great. Everyone was very polite and not rude as to some others mosques I visited. The salat was on time and was very smooth. I just would like to say again that the sisters treated everyone fairly and with respect and love. We need more of that in some of our mosque. Allah watches our actions towards others especially in this time of our so beneficial Ramadan. May Allah continue to bless As Saddik foundation and everyone who makes it very much welcoming for new comers and visitors. By Allah's blessings I will like to visit again. Best wishes to everyone and blessings with a joyful Eid Ul...
Read morePlace was very clean and well kept, and imaam reads amazing but as my first time going there I didn’t expect to see a sister yelling at mothers of small children.. I understand some of them misbehaved but they are also children and you have to understand that children will be children. She wouldn’t let a mother walk from one end of the masjid to another to grab a water for her son and she said her son HAS to be with her even if she will return.. another sister didn’t want the mother to get into a fight so she just got the water for the...
