And I think one star is too high. I was there last Tuesday and bought 8 pastelitos (my kids love them) we get home bite into them and there is hardly any meat inside. And when I say hardly, like maybe 8 piece of ground meat. We needed up tossing them out. My daughter was in the mood for some pastelitos on Friday. So I returned back. I told the young girl (who works there) about the last 8 I purchased. And here Comes this lady ( whether she is the owner or employee, I don’t know) and says somewhat along the lines of how Much meat do I expect, they’re only $1. My thought, “Ummm wow”! I proceed to tell her, I’m not exaggerating, there really was nothing inside and pastelitos. But it didn’t matter. So I went ahead and ordered what my daughter wanted and saw they had pastelitos with guava and cheese. Shocker!!!!! The guava was actually burned and hard to a crisp!!! And the cheese, lol, what cheese. Three reasons why I wouldn’t return to that place Horrible customer service (except for the young lady who initially helped me, she was polite) The older lady was obnoxious and seriously cheapened her product owner/cook clearly doesn’t take pride in their food. This placed was good until this weekend. My wife brought some beef empanadas and there was barely any meet in them. The next time we went to this store, we casually let the the lady in the front know about it. We weren't even complaining, we were just letting the store know. A lady heard our comment and came from the back to tell us that "they only a dollar." And that what we are saying can't be true. I'm not coming back to this store nor will I recommend it. I will not go to a store that calls their customers liars and are rude when we bring up a ligit concern. They clearly don't treat customers with respect and do NOT value their customer. I cannot comment on food outside of empanadas/pastelitos and smoothies as that’s all I’ve ever ordered. The empanadas are mediocre. Not authentic. If they aren’t fresh out, they’re super hard and stale. They do prepare them fresh if you ask however will give you the ones that are stale if you don’t. Margaritas or the store on the corner of 149th and Wales have better empanadas.The smoothies are good however, staff use gloves to charge, give change and go back to preparing your food with the...
