Mario's Pizza — Restaurant in New York

Simply the Best Italian food either to stay or go in the JFK Int'l Airport (in the Springfield Garden, Rosedale or Meadowmere NY neighborhoods) of Jamaica NY. I know the owner here by guilty association (eating here for three years now.) He uses the Freshest and Best Quality ingredients - even on their pizzas (who does that nowadays?? Mario does!!) There are NO shortcuts here...that's for sure. Fresh Mozzarella cheeses/ Fresh Cilantro/Basil/Tomatoes are just a few of their signatures featured on their pies. The Baked Ziti is on the money! So is their meatballs in Marinara sauce. The paninis of grill chicken, Mozz, basil and sweet red peppers are to die for... You won't regret having it. THE pizza for JFK airport delivery. We were at the TWA hotel and looking for options. This is excellent, close and FAST. No need for a third-party delivery service, it would slow things down and add cost. Pizza $25.50, no delivery fee but gave him $30 cash. Everyone was happy...

We love a good large special (with pepperoni, sausage, red & green bell peppers, mushrooms, onion). It is beautiful, look at the ohoto. The problem with delivery, even fast delivery, like this place is that the crust steams and loses that wonderful NY crisp.

The thoughtful driver bought plates, napkins (and asked for) foil for leftovers. Next time, and I will absolutely order again. I will add pizza pepper and parm. Ricotta would be a great addition.
