Read moreVisiting NYC, we heard Nathan’s hot dogs are one of the best. Went to Coney Island to spend the day and we went to the branch there, in front of the beach. Waiting the queue under the sun, I get to the desk and I get to observe how the employees argue in front of me for an unorganized station till point. I decided to go to a different cashier and I approached her like we do in my country: “Hii!! How are you?”, smile on my face and this young lady called J*l couldn’t be bother to make an effort. She just rolled her eyes on me, not a word and standing in front of me without saying a word. I never felt so uncomfortable as customer, I just thought: “she must be joking, I was just being nice”. Not really, no joke. She was just standing looking at me. I ordered myself, pay and didn’t receive any instructions. She went very relaxed to do her thing and came back with my food. Obviously no thank you or anything like that… You know I’m not a Karen, I wasn’t expecting 5 stars service when you are eating hot dogs in the beach but come on… Being nice is free. If you don’t like your job, quit girl. It’s a shame because the food was actually ok, but the ridiculous I felt just for being nice? That’s shouldn’t happen, less when you are paying for a minimum service. Saying all of this since I work in customer service too. I normally wouldn’t bother to do all of this for a bad service but the rudeness? It was completely unnecessary and honestly, I hope someone put the eyes on this branch because the impression I got in just 10 mins.. it’s really damaging the name...
