New Brisas Latinas — Restaurant in New York

I went in this morning for breakfast once i placed my order I asked Claudia about a Carne Asada meal I purchased last night and told her how very small the portion was and the meat was really small. She told me that it was the way they are serving now and if I did not like it I can always go to another restaurant. I told her I would prefer to support a local business but she is right for the same price I would get more at another Columbian restaurant guess I will be going to Para Ti Columbia con Sabor on Hillside avenue. Once I got my breakfast I asked for a second hot sauce she said it was 25 cent I told her if she can take the ranch sauce back and give me the hot sauce she said no. I guess it was a bad morning for her. But I will not be going back and I was going to have them cater an event but will not do that either I will however let as many people as I know that they should boycott this place and spend their hard earned money somewhere else. Hands down the best Colombian restaurant in the NYC. I’m Colombian but don’t live in NYC. I have stopped at several Colombian restaurants in different areas every time I come to NYC to visit or during layovers to international destinations, this one is the most authentic and I truly felt like in a restaurant in Bogota. I LOVED the food, service and prices. The empanadas were FANTASTIC. Probably the best I’ve had in the U.S. in general. The bandeja paisa and the beans were to die for. Best beans I’ve had! UPDATE: Pretty disappointed. Have been coming here for years and now its only gotten shady with their charges. Beware of the so-called "Service" fee right underneath the Tax on your bill is an obligatory 10%...mind you, I was only with 2 other friends and not a group of 8 people where mandatory tip of some percentage is paid at usually higher end restaurants. Tip is separate. Tip is something that is earned and not a self entitled mandatory pay. That is just sad. Also, if you take a to go food container you get charged another fee that they fail to mention. This is not an upscale restaurant either. Hidden fees / charges only reflects the dishonesty...
