I gave this restaurant a shot since I am not from this town and here is my experience:
When I arrived to the restaurant, I noticed so many cars blocking the road in front of the restaurant which tends to be typical in Yemen, but not a representative. They should not blocking the road entirely. Very disrespectful
I got into the restaurant and I loved the decorations and atmosphere. They have two waiters who were quick to get my order ready. They were very respectful and helpful. Well done.
I ordered Yemeni Lamb Haneeth which came with side of salad, Maraq, sahawaq, rice, and the meat.
Salad, Maraq and Sahawaq were good.
Rice is ok but is messing salt and the Yemeni spice. They can do better job cooking the rice
The Haneeth was tender and came hot and fresh. However, they did not do a great job with the spice. I was eating chunck of cumen. They added so much unnecessary spice. I was disappointed.
I paid almost $30 for this meal.
Will I come here again? probably, I wanna try another dish to make a...
Read moreRather eat in a soup kitchen than this place. I walk by this place everyday the amount of rats that hang around there is disturbing, 20+ rats in front of premises don’t understand why state doesn’t shut down this hell hole, Just horrible. The rats shred the garbage outside and leave a huge mess. The food is served cold and has messy presentation and are leftovers from wedding food that guest don’t finish, they take off the left over meat from bones that have been chewen on and they shred it to put it in the Salta, Fasha, or shawarma, just know your eating leftovers that have been in someone else mouth. The tables are always dirty and the floor always has garbage in it , I do not feel comfortable being served by men and the new girl working there now is so rude spit in my food said it in Arabic and thought I couldn’t understand. No one I know has anything nice to say about this place. If you like to have a food poisoning then this might be the place for you. (Actually got food...
Read moreEvery time I come to this wonderful place, I feel so warm and welcomed. Every staff member is so kind and helpful but what I look forward to the most coming here is the service I get from a particular server named Anila (forgive me if I spelled it wrong). There is no other servers I can think of from any other restaurant who is as kind, welcoming, helpful, hardworking, and so much more as Anila is. I come here whenever I can and every experience with her was nothing less than extremely pleasant. Please keep up the excellent job, I look forward to coming here much more. As for the food, everything is delicious. They have a great variety of veggie options along with meats, rice, pita, and more, but I personally prefer the shawarma, veggies, kofta or diced meat. If you love grilled food or Arabic food with a touch of south Asian you need...
