I used to come here all the time but stopped when they took every single thing I ordered off the menu a few years ago. Last night we went back and it was incredible. We were seated immediately (we showed up around 8 so the crowd was just starting to leave) and I didn’t think we were sitting there that long but a server came up to us and seemed offended that nobody had come to our table yet. At that point our comically awful server for the night showed up and insisted he could handle the table. He could not. My husband ordered a soda and I asked for water. His soda came out promptly and we got salad from someone else (not sure about his name but he was the hero for the rest of the evening) and he was like whoa let me get you some more water. No, my friend. It was not ‘more’ water it was water for the first time and thank you. The salad was just as tasty as I remember. Our appetizers came out exactly as we finished our salads and were excellent. He had the fried mozzarella and ravioli and I had the artichoke hearts oreganata. Both were perfect. I foolishly drank my small glass of water thinking some more would show up at some point but that was a mistake. My husband was out of soda and unable to order more because our server never came back until we were done with our entrees and he graciously let me have his small glass of water. This time I paced myself. He ordered the stuffed chicken parmigiana and I had the skirt steak with broccoli di rapa. Both were out of this world and we finished every last bite. Pedro finally stopped by and I asked for a pitcher of water which never came and we ordered 2 desserts and a cafe mocha, delivered promptly. We ordered the Nutella pizzetta and the chocolate cake with berries. That was way too much but spectacular. When it came my husband reminded him about the water and it finally came. We drank the entire thing and it might have been the best part of the night at that point lol both desserts were excellent and I can’t even decide which was better to make a recommendation but we finished the pizzetta and took the cake home. In fact I think I’m going to go snack on that right now. I would recommend sitting in Mario’s section :)

I had to change my review to one star after what happened to me here. It used to be my go to restaurant but apparently they steal from people. Please bear with me. Here's a picture of the NY strip I ordered and broccoli di rapa. The steak was amazing but the broccoli was bitter since it had burnt garlic. I asked the waiter to change it because it was inedible but he said NO because I already ordered it. Not even ihop is this stingy but whatever I left the whole thing on my plate. My biggest problem was when it came to paying. Here's a picture of my receipt which was 127 dollars. I had taken the picture because my friend had an issue with not being able to split the payment, which they don't do at this restaurant, so I ended up paying the full balance with my card and then taking a Pic to later send to my friend so he could send me his part of the bill. THEY CHARGED ME 147 DOLLARS. I believe it was the waiter who did this on purpose because we went ourselves to pay at the register since he would come and go after assisting us for 10 seconds, not paying attention to us. This was a busy Saturday night. On Monday I called the place and the manager said "This has been happening to a lot of ppl, if you don't see your money in your card by the next 2 days come back and we'll return your money". I didn't see my money so I went in on Wednesday and spoke with another manager and showed him the picture of the receipt. He said he would fix it and to give it 24-48 hours. Today is Friday and there's nothing yet on my card. This is outrageous and worst thing is that they're getting away with it. Who knows to how many people this has happened to. Please BEWARE and pay cash. Oh and don't go when busy or waiters will do this to you and managers will literally do nothing. What a disappointment, I'm not coming back.

I went here with my school for our Senior event and I was dissatisfied. Firstly, when I went to pick up my knife to eat, I recognized a stain on it [attached]. Additionally, a classmate of mine who I sat next to went to get breakfast. In her bacon, she found a large clump of HAIR, covered in bacon. She was so mortified that she did not want to eat anymore food. She gave it to a waitress and the waitress asked her “are you sure?”. My friend has type 4 hair and the bacon was clearly laying in bacon and grease for awhile. She did not have the opportunity to take a photo because when we told the waitress, she immediately took it. We assumed that she would return and apologize, but following the encounter, she never returned to her. I am greatly disappointed with the service provided at F&J Pine and coming here for event for my final year of high school was incredibly disillusioning. The food was merely average, and it was COLD. I wish that I had a better experience here, but between a hair buried in my friends’ food, a stain on my utensil, and cold, not very good food — I regret to say that I do NOT recommend this restaurant. As a side note; the senior class who graduated prior to me, went to this restaurant last year and were constantly complaining about a lack of quality and seasoning among the food.

Perfection! I came here last night to celebrate my 2year Anniversary with my partner and it was pure bliss. We called ahead of time to check if we needed to make a reservation but we were told that we could walk in and it could be a 30min wait. We had no problem with that so we ended up waiting in the bar section and got one of their signature cocktails. The customer service with host, servers and busboys were so welcoming. Very clean & organized restaurant with a really large menu that have many amazing dishes and drinks! I seriously couldn’t stop talking about the food and I ended up taking food home! We had the PORTERHOUSE FOR 2! Wow!! I have to say one of the best PorterHouses steaks I’ve ever had and the best garlic cheesy bread! Even the packing for the leftovers were perfectly wrapped! This restaurant has valet parking as well! While I was waiting for my Uber the Valet workers seemed very much on point which is always good to know. I cannot wait to come here again and make this place a regular place to come to! Highly recommend if you want Italian food & a good cozy vibe!

Totally went downhill! Used to be a nice Italian environment with great food, but not anymore. Was so upset by how much Frankie & Johnny's changed for the worse! I ordered seafood risotto, which I was craving. First of all, I couldn't even see the risotto because it seemed like they just took a bunch of seafood with tons of red sauce & dumped it on top! Plus, it was terribly greasy! My piece of cheesecake was dry & literally crumbling when I put my fork into it. Sadly, I would have to say that the salad was the best part of my meal. Obviously, this is my opinion, although I've been there a bunch of times, it was great, but comparing it to last night, it was horrible to me. The pictures of the take out leftovers in the bag was disgustingly greasy. You can also see the grease in my plate & how you can't see the risotto unless you dig underneath. If Chef Gordon Ramsey ate at the food, he'd gag & spit it out of his mouth! He'd redo the whole restaurant from top to bottom!

As a nurse that is fighting in front line due to COVID, best way to get appreciated is by good food! Thank you F&J Pine for the free food you gave me. Location: It is located in Bronxdale Ave. Few blocks from my house. I have been here twice and it is good for family gatherings. The interior is nice, there is a huge brick oven where they baked their pizza. A cozy place to eat! Service: The guys were fantastic! Af course they have to be away from us too. I ordered and they told me to wait outside. I completely understand it, it is for our safety. Food: I ordered the BAKED ZITI with MEATBALLS: the pasta is cooked al dente! The sauce and meatballs taste good! This is the pasta dish that you can eat everyday! Including are sides of POTATO CROQUETTES which I love, bread and house salad. Thank you so much for giving me free food! I do appreciate it. I am definitely going here when this pandemic is gone.
