Best Patty Shop in Queens. Be prepared for long line if you come at wrong time. Nuff Said. UPDATE 4/19/2023... CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS FALLEN OFF. Went in this morning. No one at counter. Only one man was in shop bending down looking for a juice in fridge. I started to place my order and lady behind counter seemed a little annoyed but she started putting my order together. I asked about the "blue" cake and she explained in an annoyed way like I should have known what type of cake it was. I also asked about the guava pastry and she again answered very annoyed as if to say why am I asking so many questions. I took out my money to pay and all off a sudden, she starts to talk to the man in the store and taking his order. I was surprised and confused. Then both the man and lady reach pass me as if I was not standing there and I had to ask her if she would like me to step aside because obviously I was in the way. She said yes, he was here first. I was like no one was at the counter when I walked in and she DID NOT INDICATE to me that she was serving anyone. The fact that they both started to talk over me and conduct business as if I was not standing there was offensive. She NEEDS to learn etiquette and courtesy. Great vibes, people lined up for quality per usual. Love that they were observing covid protocol as well, just made me love them even more. Everything was great and fresh, expect nothing less from Patmar. They've been doing the thang in the community for decades at this point. I moved out of the area some years ago so hadn't had a chance to get back and support the cause. But just like many other reviews I've read in the past, I traveled far and wide to get me some Patmar. Need to come back and try some of the other stuff as I was strapped for time- I only got the patties with coco bread- beef and veggie. Came here on my lunch break with a few coworkers who recommended I try this place. Upon entry I already knew something was up, the place is small and the interior and decor is super outdated. The pudding and cakes in the fridge LOOKED OLD & STALE 🤮 the YOUNG dark skinned girl had a very, nasty attitude I watched her handle money and serve Pattie’s/coco bread with bare hands, no gloves and when I suggested she wear gloves she told me “there’s not a difference” huh are you slow ? So cross-contamination and getting ppl sick is OKAY!!! She needs to be trained or moved to the back , her customer service SUCK!! No lie I thought I seen a mold spot on my coco bread.
