Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in New York

The outlet I'm reviewing is located on the corner of Clarendon Rd. & Utica Ave, 1159 Utica Ave. Bklyn. NY 11203. This spot is still relatively new, emerging not long after 2021's remnants of pandemic life. At first they used to offer very flavorful and thorough service with and an emphasis on freshness and quality. Now it appears they're sliding lower down on the list of nearby Popeyes outlets. Visited them on Thanksgiving eve 2024 with my partner, I decided on getting the chicken sandwich (classic) with a side of cole slaw, it was bland and without flavor. There was no classic sandwich flavor like what made these sandwiches all the rave back in 2020. The cole slaw didn't taste fresh and lacked the moderate amount of salt. Not to mention I used a coupon so they opted to give the small cup of watered down, non-carbonated drinks they had to offer, (lemonade & fruit punch). I asked for one when the other was too watery, both were. Soda wasn't desired at the time but, they have a non-working beverage machine in the dining area.

Tbh, don't waste your money or time because they charge a food tax and beverage tax. An additional 92 cents + 41 cents, along with upcharge of $1.00 for a frozen lemonade. My partner was not impressed either, the chicken patties were crispy on the outside and a bit pinkish and medium to well done on the inside. They also don't participate in the Survey offer, although the receipt clearly states otherwise. I feel bad for those who order online and get messed up incorrect orders, since it seems they cater more to this demographic. ...

Firstly, this employee exhibited a complete disregard for the concept of logical service. Customers were forced to wait an unnecessarily long time, not because of a busy kitchen, but due to the employee’s deliberate actions. She took orders verbally and made the food before processing payments, intentionally prolonging the waiting period for those customers. This was not a one-time occurrence; it was a consistent pattern observed during my visit.

The most disconcerting aspect was the blatant and intentional discrimination. Customers of her own ethnicity were served with a noticeable difference in speed and friendliness compared to others. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any customer...

I placed a mobile order while I was at another location and selected the wrong location after making it to the store I walked up to the counter and asked for my order. The Indian boy at the counter put my bag down and before I could touch it I started to ask a question but couldn’t even finish two words before he said “Um however you ordered it is how you’re getting it” very rude! Before I flipped out on him I took my bag and walked out, only to open my bag with NO STRAW AND NO FORK AND INCORRECT PIECES from what I ordered. Absolutely ridiculous that I spend my money and get terrible service....
