The Wyckoff House Museum — Attraction in New York

Visits to the Wyckoff House in 1963 and 2002 instilled in me the preservation instinct to prevent the senseless obliteration of our history. Here on an urban landscape is a precious little acreage that reminds us of our ancient agricultural heritage. Thanks be to the association of descendants who rescued the property and house from almost certain destruction in the 20th century. My kids and I attended a Juneteenth event here. We brought our compostable produce to add to their bin, which we did. We were greeted and enjoyed something like a hot sorrel cider, cherries, and blueberries a feature of their every 3rd Saturday Family day event. The area is green and lush with vegetation.
