Round 2 Cafe — Local services in New York

So where do I begin this place almost ruined my birthday last night I was close to tears but because I have great friends they manage to still allow me to have a great time..I reserved a table and when I got there was told they forgot to write it down and they have a full house eventually they found a table for me the cake which I asked if I could bring was no longer acceptable and had to be kept at my table a few minutes after being seated we were asked to be moved again and told we didn't pay for a table this made me so upset because this isn't the first time in there we reserved tables before and all we had to do is buy bottles I corresponded with them earlier in the day and there was no mention of additional fees or I would have made sure it was taken care of so my friends can have a good time her excuse was it's a full house tonight I was going to this spot when there were only a few people in there on Friday night now you're popular u treat your regulars like crap. To make matters worse when I was ready to cut my cake I waited a half hour for plates and was told there were no forks and I then waited another half hour for to go boxes which I had to go to the bar and ask for myself Cause my waitress was ignoring me and also when I came in it was mandatory coat check and the coat checker didn't had no change so we waited another 15mins for that ......I was so upset I didn't want to stay and I didn't want to spend my money there but my friends convinced me because of the weather it would have been hard to find another spot. BUT TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT I'M NEVER SETTING FOOT IN THERE EVER AGAIN AND AND SO ARE MY FRIENDS THEY JUST LOST A FEW...

I’m not the one to ever write negative reviews but this place was one of my worst experiences . I went there on Friday after work arrived at 6:30 ish me and my friend sat ourselves down at the bar. We get ready to order from the happy hour we both ordered chicken wings with fries, I ordered BBQ wings instead they brought out spicy wings . The chef came out and apologize instead of the bartender, he took the blame for her. The food took forever to come back out by that time I was no longer hungry . We order drinks margaritas $6 she took forever to make them , also in the mist of making it she gets on the phone and has a full blown conversation . I had to get her attention multiple times . She came over and stated “ today was not her day “ we asked for hookah claimed they did not do hookah on that day , and I chose this place based off them serving hookah . So she makes the hookah after taking forever it comes up to be $40 that’s ridiculous . No free hookah head , no extra coal that’s crazy . So then our hookah died out within 10 minutes it tasted like pure coal we requested her to fix it she goes missing again . Find her she sitting down having a conversation eating . The service was horrible . My bill came up to $98 we had 4 $6 margaritas , 2 chicken wings and fries $6 manager was there and did not chim in once it was the worst service I ever had . I don't really write reviews as I don't go out too often, but the urge to get out and find a Caribbean lounge in Brooklyn worthy of my time finally got to me. For almost 2 years I saw round 2 opened up close to my house and I just never figured to go there until last night. I'm guessing from the reviews a lot of things may have gone wrong before but I'm SO glad I didn't go by the reviews and was pleasantly surprised. When we got there the place was spacious and beautifully decorated. Not overcrowded. As a new 30 something I felt so good to finally feel like I matched the scene I was in and wasn't about to party with a mixture of preteens and grandpas. My friends and I got there after 11 so small order foods were available but I got the Maki keep wings and a black Russian and I was in heaven. I didn't even know it came with fries and was shocked because most places give you either or, not both. All in all the tab want bad plus I even got a free drink cause it wasn't what I ordered.
