Terrible spot. Go here only because KFC and the other Popeye's are way out of their way, and this place is convenient for me when going home. Highly recommend you to be wary and check your change and check your orders (they mess up at times). Have a boat load of stories. Heres a couple. Was shorted on change multiple times, and once when I told the cashier that she gave me $1 short, she told me with an attitude "I know ok, the manager is coming." Like why would you give me my change and not tell me anything before I even complain? Having also worked as a cashier you should tell the person to wait and that you need the manager to bring change... Practically expected me to not check my change so they could potentially get an extra tip. Worst place when it comes to asking for sauces. I understand giving 1 or 2 sauces for an order consisting of 4 or less pieces, but would it KILL YOU to give me a proper amount if I'm ordering a family meal? For example do you really expect 4 people to share 1 sauce when there are 10+ pieces??? Best part is, the receipt shoes 4 BBQ sauces but on multiple occasions I'm only given one. When I ask, they always put up an excuse about an extra charge. Like what the hell do you mean theres an extra charge? There's literally no standard for how many sauces you give when I get 1 for ordering 2 pieces, and 1 for ordering a family meal... You're not paying out of your pocket for the sauces, I'm paying for the food and sauces... Overall, terrible service, but because it's a franchise, corporate doesn't care at all. Ironic because corporate is supposed to care more about franchises than...
Read moreBEWARE!! This Popeyes location is a total hit or miss and lately has been a complete miss. The food quality and service all relies on which managers and employees are in this location when you are ordering your meals. There are several employees that are consistently on the "miss" so avoid this location. These employees will purposely short change you in your orders if you use any type of discount from the Popeyes website, app, paper coupon or kiosk ordering. Short changing includes giving you a quantity of 4 instead of 5 or a quantity of 9 instead of 10, and that missing piece is always the more expensive white meat piece. They also will at times give you pieces of chicken that are not edible. Another ploy is telling you they don't have any of the more expensive white meat spicy or non spicy so take the lower cost and quality dark meat without any option provided to you that you can wait for the white meat, they just tell you no more white meat for the day. If you are eating in this location watch how often other customers go up to the ordering counter and tell the employees they were short changed, it is a common issue. If you go to this location always check what they give you in the take out or drive through orders before you drive off or leave this location and keep your printed receipt to show the manager that you were short changed. As for food quality it is also hit or miss with white meat dried out, dark meat undercooked and pink colored and over greasy and Cajun fries undercooked. Not adding any photos of the employees that are on the "miss" list so they can keep the...
Read moreBEWARE of this Popeyes location!!! I go to this location only because my friend is in this area of Queens and she drives and this location has a drive through. 3 times in the last 5 orders from this 217th Street Hillside Avenue Queens Village location was intentionally cheated. First 2 times were from the drive through and third time went inside to monitor what the employees were doing when it was not busy. When this location is not busy that is when you know there is no excuse for mistakes, they are intentionally cheating. They will mix rock hard no meat wings in to a large order of wings, they will give you legs and thighs instead of breastr and wings, they will give you a cup of mashed potatoes and gravy filled less than half way instead of full. The only item they don't cheat you on are the cajun fries but you may have to wait longer for them to be packed into your order. Do not drive away or leave the inside of the store until you check your order and don't hesitate to tell them to fix the order. If they refuse to fix the order then ask for a refund and "maybe" if enough people catch them intentionally cheating on orders they will actually fill orders to match what customers are paying for. Also pay with cash, when I was in there last week when the mashed potatoes cup was half filled there was a customer complaining of an overcharge on their debit card and the manager had to make several phone calls to figure out how to refund that...
