Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in New York

I’m giving this review 3 stars because the food is always hot, however, the service is poor. We need to have a serious conversation on the importance of Sweet Tea. I had a conversation with the employees/manager not too long ago where they explained the sweet tea had enough sugar and that it was sweet enough. I said “Please try this one and the one with zero sugar. You will not taste the difference.” They gaslit me and told me to get a fountain drink.

Popeyes is not just chicken and biscuits. The sweet tea ALONE brings people to the restaurant. Every time I order a sweet tea here they make it unsweetened purposefully. Respectfully, if you are running a soul food Louisiana-based restaurant…you have to get the sweet tea right. It should not taste unsweetened and culturally, it’s very disappointing. I Was Looking Forward To That Chicken Sandwich For Me Not To Get It. Horrible !!!! Went there with my son today . And was told they had no drinks and no sauce because their truck didn’t come . I worked for the restaurant business and that means someone isn’t doing inventory the correct way !!! You just came out with the nuggets and no sauce ??? That’s the main point into getting the nuggets and to not have anything to drink the person who’s running that place is terrible replace him or her immediately I paid almost 18.00 for two meals and still had the nerve to charge me 20cents for the bottle of water ?????
