Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings — Restaurant in New York

Never again.

I'm pretty easygoing and don't like to give bad reviews. Plus, I like Charley's cheese steaks. But not here.

I waited just over 45 minutes for the worst food I've ever had in a restaurant. The girl at the counter was very nice, but didn't seem to know how to use the online system to enter my order. After repeating it four times, I got my food 45 minutes later. Well, I got somebody's food. Not mine. After another looong wait, I went to the condiments station which was filthy, as were all the tables. No napkins, garbage all over the surface.

No problem - I 'll eat in the car because now I 'm late to go back to work.

The food wasn't hot. Or warm. It was cold and a gelatinous, greasy mess. And my sandwich was still wrong.

Do better, Charley's. You have a good product but your corporate people need to come into this location for some intensive rebooting. Maybe turn off the delivery services if you can't handle the walk-in traffic at lunchtime. The various delivery drivers were as miserable as the...

It's my husband's first time. He read the menu, and asked if any sides came along with an item on the menu (bc there were 3 sizes), and Desire welcomed him with attitude and a side of sarcasm. She needs to NOT be at the front of the restaurant. I ALMOST walked out bc of her rudeness. I'm not shocked if others felt the same or just never came back. She belongs in the back if she's not willing to greet customers with proper customer service etiquette. Even if you're having the worst day, you should never project sour or ill attitude while interacting with your customers. If you hate your job so bad, please quit. It'll be a win/win/win. Sorry if this sounds rough, but I'm only be 100% honest based on his experience. Food was good, but not sure if he'd go back to experience the customer...

I ordered a chicken Philly and a steak Philly. Asked for cheddar cheese additional on the steak. She repeated everything. I happened to look at the receipt that said no cheese on both and add cheddar on the steak. Ummm I never said no provolone. I tell her and she has a bit of a tude but whatever. I get home and there are TWO steak sandwiches. How do you give me 2 steaks when the first one I ordered was chicken which she repeated to me. I look at the receipt and she rang up 2 steaks. I didn't even notice that was wrong also. It was after 10pm so they were closed when i called and I was highly upset. $30 for what? If you go, make sure you check your food before you leave. Highly...
