Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in New York

I haven't been to any other Popeyes location in a while, but this being the only location in the neighborhood and after visiting them on countless occasions, I can say the taste and quality of the chicken here has definitely taken a downfall and no longer has the classic Popeyes texture and flavor I've known over the years. Like there was NO flavor in the chicken, ZERO! Plus it was dry. I had to throw out the 3 PC I ordered along with the chicken strips. They were the worst I have ever tasted, not just flavorless, but undercooked! Had to settle with only eating the fries and head back out for wings at the Chinese spot. The sandwiches at the least were ok. Best thing they had chicken wise were the ghost pepper wings, if they actually have them. There also seems to be a high turnover for staff here, because there's usually a new face behind the register on every visit. That usually doesn't portray a business as being an amicable work environment if you aren't able to become familiar with the workers when you revisit. Additionally, on numerous occasions dipping sauces were not in the bag or promoted by staff. The last time I've experienced this type of service was when KFC started going out of business, make of that what you will. I've stopped patronizing them, but good luck to them and...

The chicken (tenders, a grubhub pickup) I ordered from this store were okay, but I am really commenting on the service. I was not given the dipping sauce that I ordered, but that was not the real problem, I was not told that and given unwanted substitutes. When I made an attempt to exchange them for an alternate choice that is when there was a problem.

As I walked to the counter to make a simple exchange, one of the workers saw me (an older woman I did not see her name tag) and just blatantly walked away - that was strange. Next, the two other workers behind the counter acted like I was not there until I spoke up about the dipping sauce. When one responded she was disgusted and expressed it in the crusty gruff manner in which she grabbed the unwanted packets.

Maybe they were having a rough day or their attitudes were just sour - I don't know.

This Popeyes location is extremely disorganized. I witnessed a customer who placed an online order waiting outside while multiple cars in drive thru got their food first. When she came in upset, the manager argued with her, told an employee in front of her not to give out his name, and after she left, he made inappropriate comments about her weight in front of other customers. That behavior is very unprofessional, especially from management. A manager should be setting an example, not creating a negative environment.
