After reading the great reviews I figured why not try this place and on Father’s Day, Upon arrival was greeted by the Hostess with 4 fingers in the air (Meaning 4 people) Not a Hello, Good Evening or Even a Happy Fathers Day (Now if the face of your brand can't even be welcoming to the extent of an utterance of "Hello, Welcome to Prime 623 etc..." Should they really be in the capacity of meet and greet?!?!), Now orders were placed eventually with a limited menu and the music (Although good) kind of LOUD couldn’t carry on a conversation without yelling at one another (So much for Ambiance), before the appetizers arrive (Roughly 15-20 minutes after ordering, My waiter proceeds to bring 3 cans of Sprite and glasses we didn’t order this and the hostess motions him to the correct table (I get it mistakes are made). The meals arrive another 25 minutes later, 15 minutes into my meal I ask my waiter for a can of coke and ice water (Mind you not one alcoholic drink was ordered for my table so I’m very cognizant of the goings on) 10 minutes go by before he proceeds to tell me they ran out of coke and only sprite is on hand (How do you run out of a basic staple such as Coca-Cola makes no sense to me good thing I didn’t order a rum and coke). Ok, No problem bring the sprite and a cranberry juice please 15 minutes go by and no drinks still (Mind you it’s wasn’t even that crowded) I get up to go to the bar to get my own drinks and suddenly my waiter is now making his way to my table. At this point I’ve had enough (The food is MID at best and the service SUBPAR!!!!) I asked for the check to qualify it I and there is a gratuity of 35.00 attached (I get it a party of 4) and you still want me to tip?!?! I wish I would tip for such poor service and basic meals. Keeping it a buck the food was better when it was Sally’s (Not better looking BUT better tasting), So in retrospect it cost me $227.77 to realize how disappointed I was in trying to patronize a black...
Read more9/10 update. I just have to keep updating my review because this establishment has become my go-to restaurant whenever I am in BK. Decided to try their brunch menu, which lived up to expectations. For appetizers, we tried the codfish fritters and the spicy shrimp empanadas. I will say that the codfish fritters needed more codfish and less batter. My daughter enjoyed her chicken and waffles, I had the ackee and salt fish with bakes or fried dumplings while my fiancée had the shrimp and grits. All meals were a win for us. See additional pictures below.
7/21 Update This restaurant never fails my tastebuds. Stopped here for lunch with my lady, and we fully enjoyed our lobster meal and appetizers. Mona blended our rum punch with perfection. This is now my go-to spot whenever I am in Bk. Check out the additional pics that I have posted and my earlier review seen below.
Initial review: As a follow-up to my earlier review, I must admit that I decided to give Prime 623 another try at the request of the owners Jay and Tanisha. This time around, everything was in sync, food and service. My lady and I ordered a smorgasbord of wings, fried rice with lobster and shrimp, garlic bread, and lamb with pasta. We washed down our meal with their rum punch, which is a must when you visit. All of the dishes delighted our palate.
Bartender Mona and waitress Khai took care of us and we will definitely request them on our next visit. I am happy to hear that Brunch will be starting soon, so check them out. If you can hold a note, then Karaoke on Tuesdays is your thing.
For any occasion, date night, anniversary, graduation, or just catching up with friends, go to Prime 623. Oh, just so you know, there is a dj there every night to get you in the mood. Prime 623 is the...
Read moreThe music selection was nice, they had halloween decorations so that was really nice and people were in costumes so it made the experience better than it was. The food was mediocre, I had the mussels I feel like for the price they could have given more and my partner had the salmon which he felt the portions were very small/limited for the price it was. I had the pasta and it was decent but the salmon and shrimp were burnt! Like black burnt which took away the flavor. The drinks were good but the service is extremely slow. We ordered two extra drinks in the midst of us eating and they didn’t show up until we asked for the check after waiting for such a long time . Mind you only one drink came and they had the nerve to have both on the bill how are you charging me for drinks I never got??? Let alone two drinks that I only received one of after the second one came out we asked to return the drink bc we weren’t interested in them anymore after waiting so long they took the check away just to bring the same one back out I’m like this is ridiculous instead of bringing our correct check the waitress is behind the bar dancing smh. After we got finally got the check you could tell the waitress had an attitude but how can you. You were the one not bringing the check and dancing behind the bar instead of checking on the drinks we asked for 40-50 mins prior smh. Would probably...
