It was a dark and stormy…freezing January afternoon when we brought home a pint of Ronnie’s Lentil Soup. With creamy beans and tiny cubes of carrot, it hit the spot. ……

We are slowly working our way through the menu of sandwiches along with a container of Really Good Cole slaw. One of our recent faves is the juicy melty Reuben, served on a perfectly crispy Italian Hero. We’re glad they’re open on Sundays now, as we’ve been ordering a sandwich for the Jets football game since the season started. Helps make up for how the season’s going. ………..

My husband needed a hospital procedure and l offered to Cook whatever he wanted for dinner the night before. His eyes lit up, “A Reuben Sandwich from Ronnie, extra meat!” Thank you to the staff for being so kind: I told them this story. ………….

Hands Down, THE BEST SANDWICHES on Forest Avenue!!! This is the 2nd location of the nostalgic style mom & pop sandwich shoppe. I eat there or take out at least 2 times a week! The owner and staff are very friendly and hospitable to all who enter. I recommend the Rueben or the Italian sandwich. They also have very good cold salads so if you like Cole slaw and macaroni or potato salad, be sure to give it a try!!! FYI, they close early, so don't sleep on placing your order! Hopefully, they stay open later in the future. They also have very nice nostalgic looking signs! Five Stars...

I ordered the fried chicken, mozzarella and brown gravy. I never had chewier chicken in my life. I swear, it was like chewing gum. I couldn’t even eat the sandwich. I do not know if it was over cooked or just old but it was terrible.

The bread also, what a horrible hero. 100% stale.

Thanks for the stale chicken and the stale bread. What a waste of money this place was.

My friend got a chicken parm hero, only good thing he said was the sauce. He had the same complaints as I just stated.
