Sabrosura Latina — Restaurant in New York

Was walking down street Sat/Sun 9/20 9/21 around 3 AM with another male friend I had met at nearby bar holding hands & he wanted to turn into the bar. Bouncer guy looked at us up & down & then began saying no no no & wouldnt let us in. We had not been stumbling slurring our speech acting loud or crazy so I asked “Why?” & he ran into my face & started threatening to fight me. I repeatedly asked why we couldn’t enter & all he did was threaten us more pulling a weapon on me. At that point I began cussing him out & challenged him to make good on his threats to fight me. We eventually walked away to a different & MUCH BETTER bar around the corner & their bouncer let us in no problem. When that bar closed & we started walking home not even passing this bar the bouncer sped up in front of us on a scooter got off & got in my face & threatened me again.

I don’t like to just throw around the discrimination card, which is why I initially calmly just asked why we couldn’t enter but he refused to answer instead only making more threats of violence & charging me. Maybe he didn’t want to let us in because we were gay or maybe some other reason, but he never explained & I honestly don’t know why we couldn’t get in for any other reason. But it’s a whole different thing to charge someone, produce a weapon, & threaten to fight them in response to simply being asked the question “Why?”.

And then another thing on top of that to be stalked by this bouncer when he was off duty & charged & threatened again.

And yet despite all his threats, this loser never actually acted on any of his threats when I stood my ground the whole time. Very disturbing for a bar to employ a psychotic individual like this.

Am considering if it’s worth my time reporting this to the authorities. My hope is that this bouncer is not representative of all the other people that work there.

I almost never leave bad reviews even if I don’t have a good experience at a place, I prefer to focus on leaving good reviews for the places that I like but this experience was so deranged & dangerous I felt I had to leave a review so people can be aware of this violent psychotic bouncer...
