My recent dining experience at Chawlas2 was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. The aroma of spices wafting through the air instantly whetted my appetite, promising a culinary adventure like no other.
The menu boasted a tantalizing array of authentic Indian dishes, each crafted with care and attention to detail. I opted for the butter chicken, a dish that exceeded all expectations. The tender chicken simmered in a velvety tomato-based sauce infused with a perfect balance of spices, leaving my taste buds dancing with delight.
Accompanying the main course was a selection of naan bread freshly baked in a traditional tandoor oven. Soft and pillowy with just the right amount of char, it served as the perfect vessel for savoring every last bit of the delectable curry.
To round off the meal, I indulged in a serving of mango lassi, a refreshing drink that provided a delightful contrast to the richness of the meal. Creamy, tangy, and bursting with the flavor of ripe mangoes, it was the perfect way to cleanse the palate and end the evening on a sweet note.
Overall, my experience at Chawlas2 was truly unforgettable. The attentive service, cozy atmosphere, and, above all, the exquisite flavors of the cuisine made it a dining destination I will be returning to again and again. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur of Indian cuisine or simply looking to embark on a culinary adventure, I cannot recommend Chawlas2...
Read moreFood was okay. Unfortunately, it took them 3 deliveries to get things right. We spent about $31 for two "Full Plates" & a garlic naan. After their first delivery, we received 2 containers of meat/sauce, along with something rolled up in aluminum foil. I assumed it was the garlic naan, but called to ask why we hadn't received any rice with our orders. I was told that the "Full Plate" options, despite being $11.99 each, don't actually include rice, or any other side. The person on the phone apologized for the menu options not being clearer, & asked if I'd still like rice to be delivered. I said "Yes", & 15 minutes later, a 2nd delivery man arrived, with the rice. I was under the impression that the rice was being delivered as a courtesy due to the lack of clarity on their menu, only to have the delivery man inform me that the rice was an additional $3. I paid, just to get it over with, only to find out a minute later that the aluminum foil WASN'T the garlic naan that we'd ordered. Instead, it was slices of red onions, & cucumber. I called AGAIN, only to be told that they were certain that they had sent the naan, & to "check again." They eventually/reluctantly agreed to send the naan. It arrived, & we FINALLY ate, 2 hours & 3 deliveries after ordering the food. First & last time for us; there are far too many options in the area, without...
Read moreSo, my family and I have been ordering from this place since it opened. Which has been years. Almost every other weekend, we order from them and happily so, because, granted , their food is good. But it's the only thing that's good about that place. Usually, everything goes well when sometimes ordering via UberEats. Not today. We were patiently waiting for our order, and after time passed, we thought, hey, where's our food? Called the restaurant and the lady on the phone said it was given to a driver. We live close to the restaurant and the food didn't arrive after a few minutes. We called the restaurant back and told the same lady that the order must have been stolen (confirmed by UberEats after the fact- that the order was given to the wrong driver by said restaurant). The lady on the phone was not helpful in any way shape or form. She apparently wasn't able to understand "Our order was stolen". So, she did what any good business person would do, and hung up the phone. We called back. She eventually said, we'd have to place a new order. She was rude, dissmissive, disrespectful, and unhelpful to loyal customers who've been giving their business service since day one. Disgusted isn't even the word I'd use when it comes to describing the behavior we had to deal with in a frustrating situation. It really is a shame but they must like losing loyal...
