So today I decided to order from the door. After conversations with several people, they advised me NOT to order anything from them. but I decided anyway to do so. I had several issues with them in the past like long waits, missing food, cold food, and above all the tea spoon of meat. Last time I ordered it took them 4 hours to deliver my food and when I called them they kept of lying about the status of the order. I even had a conversation with the uber eats driver regarding my order and said he has been waiting for hours and other customers were even fighting at the restaurant because they were taking too long. Mind you, waited for 4 hours only to find out that they dropped my food on the floor! At that point that should've been the icing on the cake for me but I decided to give them another try.. TODAY, I should've listened to my friends who said not to.They all decided to order from different restaurants and I was on my own. LET ME TELL YOU THE AUDACITY THE DOOR HAD! AFTER 4 HOURS (AGAIN) AFTER 3 DRIVERS (all 3 drivers cancel the pickup probably because of long wait and lack professionalism) a 4th driver picked up my order (4 hours later) after calling the restaurant several times, and when I tell you the rudeness of these workers was disgusting. So now, I finally received my order after that long wait and back and forth conversations with uber and this restaurant....after all the wait and aggravation that these people put me through...this restaurant had the AUDACITY TO SEND ME MINCED/SHREDDED CHICKEN FROM THE BOTTOM OF THEIR POT! LOOK AT THE PHOTO YOU WILL SEE THE (CURRY CHICKEN) IN SHREDS WITH TONS OF BONES!!!!!! HOW DARE THEM! THE MEAL WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR A DOG! I SPENT OVER $20.00 for A SMALL AND GET SOMETHING LIKE THIS WAS INCOMPREHENSIBLE! THIS ISN'T CURRY CHICKEN.....THERE WAS NO WHOLE PIECES IN THE ENTIRE MEAL, EVERYTHING WAS IN SHREDS, TONS OF BONES AND OVERCOOKED! WHO DO THEY THINK WAS GOING TO EAT THAT. THIS RESTAURANT TO ME IS A 3 OUT OF 10. THE SERVICE IS POOR, THE STAFF ARE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY TRASH. NEVER AGAIN! TRIED TO SUPPORT A SMALL NEIGHBORHOOD RESTAURANT BUT THEY DROPPED THE BALL WAY TOO MANY TIMES....YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO GET. IF THEY AREN'T MISSING FOOD OR SERVING FOOD THATS BELOW AVERAGE I JUST DONT KNOW. BE PREPARED TO DEAL WITH THE DISGUSTING ATTITUDES OF THEIR STAFF MEMBERS AND THE LONG WAITS. NOT WORTH YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. MY ADVICE TO ANYONE WHO IS READING THIS! TAKE YOU BUSINESS...
Read moreI took my husband here for Father’s Day. Initially we had a reservation for $5pm. Since we got out of church earlier than expected, we called to see if we could push up the reservation from 5pm to 4pm.. We were asked to hold while the attendant checked. She came back and said that it would be fine, so we came. When we arrived, I waited until approximately 2 minutes before 4pm before letting the lady at the counter know we were there. I figured since we’d gotten our reservation pushed up, it was wise to wait until 4pm. When I approached the lady to let her know that we were there, she rudely stated that she did not see any reservation for my party for that time. Then she said she would see what she could do. While we were waiting to be seated, two families without reservations were seated. The same lady then referenced my party and said that we had a 5pm reservation and came early. When I overheard her, I stepped up to the counter to interject and correct her false statement. She then proceeded to get loud with me. Since it was Father’s Day, I proceeded to retreat to my corner and wait with my family. She must have realized how unprofessional she looked and sounded because soon after she offered us appetizers. I politely declined. As we waited, family after family came in and stated that they didn’t have a reservation but were told to just come. We were called to be seated at around 4:30pm. It was at that time that the hostess apologized for the wait. As it relates to the food, outside of the macaroni and cheese, and corn bread which used to taste amazing, the food was pretty tasty. My only qualm with the food was that I paid close to $40 for their snapper run down entree, and the fish was tiny. I could have bought at least 4 good sized snapper for that amount of money. On the plus side, our waitress was kind and attentive. All in all, I was disappointed with the treatment of my family upon arrival, and disappointed with the size of my fish. I hadn’t been there in a while and had higher expectations. I won’t be back. The Door has changed so much from the top notch service and portions they...
Read moreI enjoyed nothing about this restaurant. The drinks were eye catching, but lacked in taste/flavor. I make better drinks/beverages at home. The jerk wings was the best thing I had. The curry goat was a teeth destroyer. The goat was chopped up so small you had to spend so much time knawing the little meat it had on it off. The rasta pasta was the weirdest rasta pasta I've ever seen in all my years eating rasta pasta. The size of the steak was big, but not in an appealing way. More like, ugh, maybe I should be a vegetarian, or are the Flintstones joining us. It looked dry and the flavor sure didn't match it's size. The Mac and cheese tasted and looked like weeks old macaroni and cheese. Flavor and cheese boycotted that dish as well. It was crumbly, dry, and orange. No cheese present, nothing stretching when you lifted your fork. So needless to say, we all left hungry. I must speak about my server, who was the absolute WORST. Service with a smile is not what this young lady was giving. Her energy was as miserable and dry as she presented herself. Her tone at moments made me wonoder if I was in military school. I'm so sorry we decided to dine on your shift, we certainly didn't mean to be a bother (sarcasm). She ignored calls for attention and passed us on by. She passed food over my head when she was serving plates multiple times. She put my son's (6yrs old) bowl of macaroni down on the edge of the table. So half the bowl was off the table. I had to immediately push it forward or it would have fallen. She hollered at the table for the menus post ordering, a distance from the table that jolted everyone to attention. I wondered if she wanted me to pick them up and walk them over to her, I immediately became confused. Your in the middle of the walkway asking for menus with your hand out. 🙄..Yes, confused I was. Then we're forced to give her a big tip. Tips should be based on service. Yes, we should have to leave something, but not light bill money for poor...
