Villa Monte New Dorp Lane — Restaurant in New York

The pizzeria I normally order from received a "B" rating from the DOH, so we decided to find a new place. I remembered that when I first moved to Staten Island we ordered from Villa Monte so I thought we'd try it again. Well, the first time I ordered half of the food I ordered wasn't delivered. When I called to complain I was brushed off and about 35 minutes later I received the rest of out food which was ice cold. A few weeks later I tried again, this time I received a totally different order and wound up paying more than what my order cost. I called and asked for a manger so I could explain my frustration, he told me that these things happen and I should expect human error. When the delivery boy came back he brought the right food, but I had to explain that I needed the difference back. It was a total disaster, trying to explain to someone who had no idea what was going. Today, I was home with my 3yo daughter who asked for pizza. I reluctantly ordered from Villa Monte, I figured since it was a small order, being just the two of us were eating, it couldn't be that bad. The food came and I noticed the delivery guy wasn't holding soda. I asked him if the store had given him soda and he said no. We both looked at the receipt and he turned and looked at me and said they had charged me for it. I said OK, can I get the soda, you woulda thought I was asking for his first born. He sighed heavily and asked me if I would take the credit instead, I said no and that I would like the soda. He looked at me and said "so you don't want the credit?" I said, again, no I'd like the soda. I live in a very busy area and there are about 5 stores in walking distance, he could have easily ran to the store and bought it. Instead, 45 minutes later he returned, banging on my door and was holding the soda out for me to grab as he was walking away. My pizza was cold, my daughters riceball was cold, the food is not worth all of the aggrevation. Aside from that when I placed my order I asked for pasta e fagioli, the girl had no idea what that was and told me they don't do specialty items. I said it's not a specialty item, I get it all of the time, she then asked me if it was on their menu and I told her yes. If you feel like being completely frustrated and waiting over an hour for an ice cold order, that isn't correct then this is the place for you. I'm actually ready to chance it and go with the "B" rated pizzeria before I ever order...

I placed an order for delievery at 5pm rigatoni with vodka sauce and chicken cutlet with Xtra vodka sauce grated cheese and two peach snapples. 45 mins later food came and the pasta was dry no extra sauce. The Xtra sauce they gave me on the was tomatoe ( I had vodka maked no sense ) no grated cheese and 2 regular snapples. I called and complained they said they will remake it and deliever it . after 45 i called back the food never came they said the driver just left i live less then 10 mins away 20 mins passed i called back to complain again and the manager was a jerk had an attitude like i was wrong when they messed up my order to begin with. Customer service was a disgrace I will never recommend this place to anyone and every person I know I will talk out of going there there are plenty of pizza places on the island with better service food...

Some of their food is good however their seafood is not. If I am ordering from this place it should not matter which location I order from the food should be the same I understand their are different chefs but the sauce should be kept the same. Villa Monte on Paige Ave their seafood is great on New Dorp Lane I don't like it at all. For 12$ I would of ordered something else instead I threw it away. I am not saying everything is bad I am just saying the seafood is not good. If I am paying a good amount of money for food I expect the order to be correct I understand everybody makes mistakes but this was not the first time. Their staff is nice but they need to make changes I am not the type of person to write a poor review but I really felt it was necessary because the food...
