I was at this Burger King with a friend at about 9:30 P.M., and granted that's not prime dining time, but even so, for a Saturday night, I was expecting a more involved experience.
This was easily one of the WORST fast food places I've ever been to in my ENTIRE LIFE. That's not a denouncement on Burger King itself, just this particular location. Which is exactly my point: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. A grimy, seedy, ghetto neighbourhood populated with grimy, seedy, ghetto folk turns any establishment into a grimy, seedy, ghetto JOINT.
There were burnouts littering the place...I can't say they were all drunks and addicts, but I'd bet the money I regretfully spent in there that they were. Creating an unpleasant, uncomfortable environment, yapping loudly about whatever they saw in their heads...one even was going back and forth with one of the employees who seemed to be his "woman"...which meant she was bringing her private life to work with her. I DIDN'T COME HERE FOR THIS!!
I haven't even gotten to the food yet! My friend ordered ice cream, which she had no problems with, but I ordered Chicken Fries, which were both overcooked and lukewarm when I got them. How does THAT happen?? And when I went BACK for ice cream for dessert, the woman presented me with a cone with the sorriest looking blob of vanilla cream on top: it was late in the day and the cream was too soft at that point. She had to take the charge off of my debit card.
This was because it was close to closing time, which no one announced. The couple I was waiting with were standing there for ten minutes before anyone told them no new food was going to be served. And then the burnout's "girlfriend" brusquely broadcasted that they were done for the evening - with NO warning - and we all had to vamoose! Well, thanks for the memories to you, too, sister! What cold, impersonal service.
I don't look forward to the Apocalypse, because if this BK winds up being the last place on Earth to find food, I'm afraid I'll have to starve to death. I wouldn't eat here again if you paid me.
Sorry, I have to go now. This review is over and no one informed me that it was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have being a regular at that particular store for years. However, they hired a new cashier her name is Samalia or something similar. Few days ago, I bought an order, the bag was kind of tight for all the goodies and I was exiting the store the bag busted and my burgers and fries felt to the floor. The burgers were protected and I picked them up, but the fries were all over. I asked her to replace them, and she just plainly told to leave the store, it was like she didn't care and show no sympathy. That was very disrespectful and asked for the manager which understood and gave new sets of fries.......10 for the Manager , 0 for Somalia or what ever her name is........
2nd Review About a few weeks ago, I visited the same Burger King restaurant in Heller Partway in Newark NJ. This time it was not Samalia, it was the manager or assistant manager, the manager seems as spanish from either Ecuador or Peru. That day I bought, two whoppers, two cokes and two fries ( Two combos). The manager or assistant manager in reference refused to provide me with a cop holder when I requested one in order to carry my two soft drinks I just purchased. When I inquired the reason why he was denying me the cop holder, he advised that in order for me to get a cop holder was for me to purchase 3 or more drinks.
I could not believe his rational and/or his thinking process and asked him to look at me and tell "where is my third arm?"
I told him, " I got two arms and two hands and there are three items to carry out, one bag containing my burgers and fries and two soft drinks, how can I carry " It's obvious, but he still refused to provide me one. I told him, " Use your brain, put the two drinks in one bag""
My question is simple and I would love to have a conversation with the regional manager " Do you check or test your management team with simple logical reasoning or did I was the target of some type of prejudice against me...
Love to have a conversation with the regional...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn august 26 around 2:55pm I went to burger kingās drive through located at: 255 Heller Pkwy, Newark, NJ 07107. I ordered an 8 pc chicken nuggets and one orange juice. They asked me to go to the next window. An older lady on uniform open the window and I handed her a $10.00 bill. She turned and did not give me a receipt or my order but I waited patiently with my family on the car by the window. After a few minutes another worker now younger asked me to pay again and I informed her that I had already pay to the other lady. Yet they refuses to give me my order or money. Then they all started getting upset at me and saying I did not pay. I requested a manager. He came and said someone on a higher position will come and check the camera and that I had to move from the window because they had other people waiting. I refused to move until they either give me my money back or my order. Then they proceded to let me wait there for another 10 minutes. After that the younger lady gave me a juice and after the older one game me the order and change. NO RECEIPT. With a very nasty attitude. Iām still in shock by this whole situation and pretty shaken. Is this how burger king treats...
