Tropical Juice Bar — Restaurant in Newark

I haven't posted in a while but I have to post how amazing this place is. I kind of wanted to keep this place to myself but a business needs all the help it can get nowdays, especially a place with such good people so here goes. First what drew me to this place is the name they make great fresh juices the best I ever had. I like the super green juice. its so good you would think it's made somewhere in a expensive factory with expensive equipment and not right in front of you. Its so healthy that it put me on a path to losing ten pounds which i needed.The beef empanada are the best I've had in Newark. The fried non breaded chicken with French fries or tostones is the best deal I've seen when it come to combination plates. They provide a large menu of finger food but if your not feeling that they got right next door in a different section a large assortment of spanish food rabo (oxtail) chicken, pork shoulder, rice beans, vegetables, and more. Finally the workers are so helpful and humble. I only know 2 by name unfortunately but they all have given me recommendations and made me feel so welcome. Madiel super friendly and calls me by name and Marilyn super knowledgeable. I asked her which juice should I drink for energy that I've been feeling sleepy and tired. She recommended The Ginger Beets and surprisingly I felt focus like I drank coffee with out the crash all day. Go one time and...

I really want to love this place and go more often. I give 3 stars because I’ve ordered from here 3 times and all 3 times there’s been an issue with my order. The first time I ordered through the app and they forgot my empanadas. Had to drive all the way back after I was already home. The 2nd time was a phone order and they forgot to give me my smoothie, thankfully I noticed when I got to the parking lot and went back to get it. The third time was again a phone order and I asked for the fried chicken family platter and they gave me grilled chicken instead and not even 1 pink sauce or ketchup in the bag. The food and smoothies are delicious but service wise the staff needs better training on paying attention to what is ordered when they’re packaging the items. Sucks to order from a place wondering if you’re going to receive what you ordered...

The food here isn't bad. The flavor was good, portions were a little small, but wasn't bad. Customer service was NOT GOOD AT ALL. We placed a large order (4 sandwiches, 5 empanadas, 2 relleno de yuca and 3 beverages) and the service was disappointing.

Ordered 2 rounds of food, and the second was packed to go (without asking). Our initial order of drinks was forgotten, once the second order was placed, I drank ⅔ of it, but found it still very sweet, so asked if they can add some water (as the menu has filtered water as an option FREE when making a smoothie) and I was told no, they would have to charge me for less than 4oz of water.

Food is flavorful. If you're stopping in, order on the kiosk (not with the counter) and grab your food and go. Definitely not worth dining in, the Caribbean station next door is better...
