Glad to see this place getting things right again after a couple of years of not as good experiences. When it was WFPS we were weekly regulars to the point that the former owners Matt and Nate would bring out a bowl of green olives for my son who absolutely loved them at the time. After Nate moved and Matt sold the store, we still came in regularly but things started changing and not positively. We stopped going for a year or so. This year we decided to give it another shot and Chef Robbie has not disappointed once in the half dozen or so times we've visited. The ingredients are fresh and delicious, the pizzas have just the right amount of dark spots and hold up when you lift a slice instead of limply flopping. The new additions to the menu are outstanding and we've been trying a different side or app each time. They staff are once again welcoming, friendly, and go out of their way to make sure everyone is enjoying their meal. Excellent training. The prices are in line with what you'd expect from a top notch pizza parlor and there is a wide array of drinks, both alcoholic and non, available for any palate. Lastly, the music is back to being an eclectic - but not all over the place -mix of classic rock and modern pop and rock, and set at a volume that you can tell who's playing without having to yell over it. We had been disappointed in losing one of our favorite places, but we are so happy to say that Pizzeria Mariana has stepped up and filled that void in our pizza crusted hearts that was left by WFPS. We're proud to call ourselves regulars again. OUTSTANDING JOB. Will absolutely recommend to anyone who loves wood...
Read moreLet me tell you. This is the worse experience I ever had in my life. I been in this industry for over 35 years and if I am able to give this restaurant a 0 i would. But apparently google only allows you to do 1.
My wife wanted to check this place out since the owner is chef Robbie Jester who is a food network champion. Either way I was not able to order any food since the server sat us down for over 26 min ignoring us cleaning all the tables sweeping around us. Not once she came over to take our order. After being ignored we decided to just leave and asked her if there was problem why she would not take our order. With an attitude she said you’re supposed to come to the counter and order. Which my reply was why would you not tell us that when you sat us down. With her non caring attitude said I am pretty sure I did. Trust me, my wife looked at me and said to herself wrong thing to tell me because clearly she and I never had a conversation once she cleaned off the table and she sat us. Either way she got upset and kick us out after some strong worded things were said in my part because I felt like she intentionally was ignoring us. You would think for a second she would come and check up on us but instead she was sweeping around us like we were not there. I see all these great reviews online but clearly it is about the food and not the service, I would not be able to rate the food since we were able to have a meal.
I would suggest fixing your service in order for new customers to try out your food.
I am sure the cashier/server will tell a different story but for sure she shouldn’t be working in the customer...
Read moreWent here last night around 8pm on a whim. BF ordered the Besto Pesto, I ordered the Dirty Bird (subbed out the BBQ sauce for tomato - not good idea, explain later) we also ordered the garlic knots with cheese and the cheese sticks.
I enjoyed everything, though I thought the Besto Pesto was a bit oily, I know why. Nothing major. I really enjoyed the Dirty Bird, but I messed up cause I don't really like BBQ sauce - so I ordered mine with tomato sauce. The reason I said it was a mistake is because it made the gorgonzola almost unbearable, but I still ate it cause it was overall all delish! Heated it up today in the air fryer and threw some BBQ on it - viola magic. They know what they are doing with the flavors, trust it!
The garlic knots just made me so happy but the kicker for me was the cheese sticks. Idk what in sam hello kitty made them do what they did but they can have all my fried cheese stick money for the rest of my life. I am a HUGE cheese stick fan but stopped ordering because they are all the same everywhere you go. But not here... I thought they were chicken tenders because they were so HUSKY.
Everything was so fresh. We decided to dine in the car which wasn't a big deal, we're not fans of the rona so ya know - but the inside is small and quaint with the food being big on flavor. I hope that the next time we go, this feeling remains the same. Everything was on point and you can tell they use fresh ingredients for everything....
