Extremely disappointed in myself for not actually reading the reviews before choosing this location, I saw the overall star rating and assumed we were good to go.
We went to do the heist room which looks cool sure, but things malfunction affecting your ability to work through it. My boyfriend and I have done several and it was extremely odd that this one had cameras but no audio for them to listen. Usually you have to request a hint if you want one, and can usually get responses that are related to what you're doing. Here they have no audio and just kept sending us random clues as they felt like it, often times sending us whats we already knew and were working on finishing, which didn't help.
A lot of the cables were broken for a part of the room which made it difficult to keep them in place, there was also one color that wasn't even long enough for what you needed to do. Then we were getting down to the wire, pretty close to the ending but time dwindling and we figured something out but nothing happened. Thought it was weird but tried to keep looking. Once our time ran out we asked, the lady banged on the wall to get the thing to drop because it was stuck. Then proceeded to tell us it's a common issue. The fact that they knew this was an issue and didn't tell us really got on my nerves. Then when I expressed that frustration she brushed it off because we had other puzzles to finish and she assumed in the time we had left we'd not finish, which was just rude and is besides the point. We paid nearly $200 to do this room, everything should be functional.
Extremely disappointed in the quality of the room and the staffs attitude towards the issues we had. Too expensive for them to not to be able to at minimum replace some broken ethernet cables that cost...
Read moreWE LOVE AXXIOM! My kids have been to just about every escape room at both locations that they could possibly do and we are always excited when they come out with new ones. They must take an incredible amount of time and money to make new rooms, though, so we understand that it takes a TON of effort to create and run. This is not an easy effort to run an escape room, to manage the rooms, the puzzles, the staff, the people. Things get broken, people run late, it's hard to hire and keep staff. Somehow this place kept going right through COVID and we have been coming before, during and after the pandemic and they have been doing a super job the whole time.
The owners are both incredibly involved and hands on and they have both been so helpful and detailed when I called with questions. They will bend over backwards to help and to make customers happy. The staff are great and just the right amount of helpful with the hints. They let you struggle JUST the right amount and they are not SO liberal with the hints that they hand everything over but just when you're about to tear your hair out, they nudge you along just the right amount.
These escape rooms are such a fun way to spend an hour and get your kids off their phones to use their brains, hang out with their friends and do something creative and interactive. I do wish there were so many more rooms but I know Axxiom is working just as hard and fast as...
Read moreI hate writing bad reviews, but I would feel bad not leaving a review and letting others waste their money. This was the worst escape room I have ever been too, first of all the location is sketchy, and they do not own one building, they own two. So you pay, then are walked through a parking lot to the rooms, which are feel just like bedrooms furnished with a Big Lots “escape room kit”. The decorations looked hand mad, like what you would see at a 6th grade school Halloween Party. The room felt so cheap, and boring I can’t even explain how tacky it was. The story was impossible to follow, hints are given nonstop and are the only way to figure things out. It is not because the room is hard, it is because it is such a disaster and impossible to follow you would get no where without hints. My wife and I literally just left with 22 minutes left; it was boring—and we were in the horror room! Further, once we walked to the other building, the girl forgot we had to ‘sign’ our waivers so we walked to back to the other waivers and she literally just had us scan a QR code with our phones…I couldn’t believe this WR code was not in the other building in a wall, or on their phones. If I had to guess this is a terrible attempt by someone to franchise an escape room brand, because there are other locations. It is just bad, that’s all I can say, and I can’t express...
