Rainha Dos Queijos Restaurant — Restaurant in Newark

Second time here, first time I ate feijoada, probably the best in Newark. Today we tried the beef strogonoff and the soup of the day, canjiquinha with pork ribs. Everything was delicious, very tasty and great amount of food for the price. We tried the “sweet cheese balls” and you should definitely try, its different and delicious! We brought home the bread with guava and cream cheese (it was super fresh, baked today). This is a must go Brazilian food restaurant in New Jersey. Be patient, fresh and tasty food can’t be cooked in 10 minutes!!! I want to eat everything they have in the menu!!! I visited Rainha dos Queijos after a recommendation. I went for lunch on a Saturday and was seated quickly.

I ordered the Tapioca cubes as an appetizer and this was one of the best appetizers I’ve had. It’s served with an option of sauce and I chose the guava. SOOOO DELICIOUS.

For the main course I ordered the Salmao ao Molho de Requeijao and it’s served with rice and fries. If you like requeijao (like I do), you should try this dish.

For dessert I had Manjar de coco. It was perfect and not overly sweet.

They make their cheese in house and the options are so unique.

If you’re in Newark and haven’t been to Rainha dos Queijos, you’re seriously missing out! The food is absolutely delicious – fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. But what really made our experience unforgettable was the incredible service from Junior Rio.

He was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive from start to finish. You can tell he truly cares about making every guest feel special. He gave amazing recommendations, checked in without being intrusive, and made sure everything was perfect.
